A brief description of the college where I have done my diploma in EE.

Placements: There were about 75% of students from our batch who got placed in companies. The lowest package offered was around INR 1 LPA, and the highest package that was offered was INR 2 LPA. There were many prestigious companies like Hitachi, Dana India, etc., and many other such companies. There were no such students who went for internships.

Review of Ranaghat Government Polytechnic College.

Placements: From our batch, about 70% of the students got placed. It is a new government college and started in 2016 under WBSCTE, so big companies are not coming here for campusing. I got selected in the company named High-Technext Pvt Ltd for a site engineer, but their salary package offered is not that good. The salary offered to me is Rs. 9,000 per month in hand, and the job location isn't fixed as it will be wherever in India. So, I didn't join. During college days, one of the professors told us to joi...

I have great moments in the college days.

Placements: Average-grade students are placed in my course. There is a very nominal fee for all courses. Tata, Honda, Yamaha and many more technical hubs are recruiting. More than 60% of students can get internships from my course. The manager, secretary, supervisor, etc. are the top recruiters.

I can say this is not too bad at all but the infrastructure is very disappointing.

Placements: NITW is doing greatly in placements that's why many students tend to join here over other nits though they rank good in NIRF. The percentage of students placed was 90%. The highest package was 53lpa for a guy from EEE branch but he got placed in software job only. The average salary was 13.5% overall and 20 LPA for CSE branch. Many recruiters prefer NITW over other colleges so it's not a big deal to get placed, and the placement team is also very supportive.
