B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2022

It is worth reading in this college. All teachers and staff members are supportive and friendly.
Placements: There are around 73 students in our class. The highest salary package offered is about 9 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Around 85% of the students got internships from our course because it is a must and in the final semester it carries marks.
Infrastructure: ]Our college has a good infrastructure. There is a small canteen which is near the ground. He prepares all the items which are good for our health and it is hygienic as well. There is no Wi-Fi connectivity in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very respectful and very supportive. They have good behavior. We can't judge them. Computer science curriculum is very much important as it has more weightage to the studies. You can get a job easily from this stream. Semester exams are very important.

Review of RGC - Rajiv Gandhi Group of Institution.
Placements: According to my knowledge, 60% of students got placed in computer science and engineering department. The annual package offered was around 1.5 to 3 LPA. Some students got seats through CET. It was around 70,000 for them. There were different branches in engineering, like mechanical, computer science, biomedical, civil engineering etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The college has a library, from where we can take books, read them and even take them home. Later, we have to return them. Our classrooms are good. There are many different auditoriums for different branches. Labs are not fully equipped.
Faculty: As the college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technology and University, it has a separate examination system. Exam questions are unacceptable and surprising every time. The teaching quality of teachers is good. They give us many assessments with limited deadlines.
Other: I opted for computer science and engineering. Our college conducts only one fest in the whole year. A fresher's day and farewell are conducted separately for every branch.

I have enjoyed my 4 years in RGIT, and I had the best time on campus.
Placements: I was in computer science student, and we had 2 sections. The highest strength is recorded in CSE followed by biomedical engineering. There were no placements in 2020 and 2021. I think it was due to covid-19 situation. Now, there might be placements from this year.
Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, but some of my friends are from Kerala. They used to stay in the hostel. They always used to say that the hostel food was bad. Rooms are always clean and have separate restrooms. They had to follow hostel timings, and they were not allowed to go out after 9 pm.
Faculty: The college is affiliated with VTU, so it has the best examination system. Teachers are well-experienced and have good knowledge. Especially, Pushpa Latha ma'am is the most experienced teacher in the CSE department. Teachers provide all sorts of help by giving important questions and helping us to solve them.
Other: I opted for Bachelor of engineering. Teachers are good and cooperative.

Dissatisfied with the off-course faculty and their behaviour.
Placements: The college doesn't provide any placement opportunities. Sometimes, local business people visit the college to hire students. So they don't even conduct any placement drives. Whenever a company visit the college, they just go back without hiring any student. They organise a job fair which is useless, and this is a business trick to make money.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, but there is no playground. It's difficult to survive in the college for four years. Classrooms and labs are in the worst condition. I suggest you be careful when you choose a college. The equipment in the labs is good, and all the equipment is useless.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They don't use any teaching methods. The student to faculty ratio is 10:4. We never get any industry exposure. There is nothing good about this college. The course curriculum is not useful.
Other: Nothing.

Absolutely dissatisfied by the Infrastructure of college,Good faculties and average Placements.
Placements: Placements for my batch has not yet started. But for my seniors batch the placements was held. And only 5 students were selected out of 60. The highest average salary was offered 3,00000 and the lowest was about 150000. The companies visited our campus for placements are Wipro, Infosys, IBM, and several other companies also. Different kinds of roles were offered to the selected members like Testing, Software development, Web desighee etc. There are no internships given to the students. And there is no proper placement cell in the college. In my opinion placements in our college are not much useful for students. I think in future the placements will be given more and it will be improved.
Infrastructure: The College Campus environment is really good with having plenty of tree shades around. But there is no proper parking facility for both students and faculty members vehicles. The facilities provided in this college include Labs, Classrooms, Library, Sports and Games. The quality of labs is good. The labs are maintained properly and all the computers in the labs are in good working condition and have all types of software's. The quality of food we can get in the college campus is average. We cannot get proper snacks and also the items are not good. Hostel rooms are in very bad condition. No cleanness is maintained in the hostel. No proper management for hostel. The Classrooms in the college are in very poor condition no proper lights, Fans are provided for students. I faced the issue of classrooms and we could not study properly.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. The faculties are well qualified. Only some faculty members are knowledge. And some faculty members don't have any knowledge about the subject. The facilities are given those subjects which they don't know. The teaching methods used is only one method that is by using projector and explaining PPTs. The student and faculty ratio is good and the faculty members help students to score marks. No we didn't get any industry exposure. The course curriculum was useful as we can learn many new things from the course.
Other: The college provides many other events, Sports day, literary day and Fest is held in the college every year. Scholarships are not provided by college but the college gives inflation about the scholarship from government sources. Extra curricular activities are also not provided.

The placements could have been better.
Placements: The placements are not up to the mark compared to what is expected. The placement department could have worked out better to bring a lot of companies for recruitment. The placement was 20% during our tenure. Overall, I will rate less for the placement department. The placement department should know the current market requirements and train the students to make up for it so that the students will feel easy to crack the interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay, and not bad. Still, the labs and workshops can be well-established. They should bring in good, and little canteens are inside the campus, who can provide good and hygienic food. They should facilitate Wi-Fi for students, which helps them in career enhancement. They should provide proper parking slots for student's vehicles.
Faculty: The faculty members are better and can be still improved by hiring experts, who have upgraded themselves to the present technology and science. At least one subject matter expert is required in each subject. The well-experienced lab instructors are required to guide or help students in labs.
Other: The fests can be celebrated more effectively. They are constructing a compound for the college, which looks good and can bring good discipline in students.
