College of engineering placed in the rural region of the state, Maharashtra can be rated as a good institution for engineering education especially from the rural scenario. This college maintained its reputation due to strong academic focus and dedicated teaching plus a decent infrastructure. Both undergraduate and postgraduate programs have been provided by REC in various disciplines of engineering. This focus on practical learning with very excellent laboratory and industry collaborations. This college does not perhaps carry the same brand of national prestige as top-tier urban colleges, but it offers good learning environment and a placement record that is worth considering, mainly for students who are focused on soaring to new heights in attaining their potentials given.

Placements at Rural Engineering College are largely satisfactory as a significant number of students get jobs in some of the best companies especially in the IT, software and engineering sectors. The college maintains an exclusive placement cell which facilitates placement drives, campus interviews, and pre-placement training. Among the major recruiters for students include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant, along with several engineering and manufacturing firms. A typical package for graduates is in the range of ?3-4 LPA and this goes up to ?6-8 LPA for students in computers and computer Science and engineering. Students, who are strong both in skills and, more so, at internships do better on offers.

Yes, the REC offers various scholarships that are given to outstanding and economically weaker section students. Merit-based scholarships are offered at various points of time during the course depending upon academic performance, caste-based reservations, and family income. For instance, merit-based scholarships include Government of India-funded scholarships such as the Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST students. Besides these, merit-cum-means-based scholarships, which entitle a good percentage of marks secured in the examination, are also offered by the REC. More importantly, students can apply for industry-sponsored scholarships or institution-specific financial aid programs. The management may also provide financial aid to the students who have hard-time economic conditions. For proper information, students may contact the college administration or look for the college website updates on financial aid.
