As per the TNEA Round 2 Seat Allotment result 2024, the BTech cutoff ranged between 61774 and 103071, wherein B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science turned out to be the most competitive course for the General AI category students.Comparing the 2024 TNEA cutoff with the previous two years, B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science witnessed a consistent growth in its closing ranks. The Round 2 cutoff for the same course was 56905 in 2023 and 45486 in 2022 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.

The admission process for MCA (Masters of Computer Applications ) at SA Engineering College involves the following : 1. Eligibility: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field of study but must have Mathematics or Computer Science as a subject. 2. Entrance Exam: TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) /NIMCET/ AEEE/AAITE/ACET /AMU etc. 3. Application: When applying online, complete an application form, attach the necessary documents and pay the prescribed fees. 4. Counseling: To avail professional counselling sessions to be organised by the college or Anna University. 5. Seat Allotment: The same schedule is followed taking into consideration the rank obtained in entrance test, previous record of the student, and reservation policy. 6. Document Verification: Students need to attest documents and go through the process of admissions. Note: Probably the requirements for admission differ, so it is better to visit the college’s website or call the office where students are admitted.

Both Vel Tech and S.A. Engineering College are well known universities. Both colleges are approved and ranked institutions. Both colleges have world class infrastructure, highly qualified faculty facilities, top quality education with wide range of courses. Both colleges offer good placements. Vel Tech college placed 333 out of 361 UG students, according to the NIRF 2023 report. UG students received a median package of INR 4.5 LPA, while PG students received a median package of INR 5.5 LPA. Top recruiters are Infosys, Wipro, Reliance, Capgemini, Hyundai Motors, Airtel, Saint-Gobain, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Polaris, etc. On the other hand, S.A. Engineering College, Chennai, also had students placed in top companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, HDFC Bank, etc. Therefore, both colleges offer good in their respective ways and it is difficult to say which one is better.

SA Engineering College awards scholarships to MBA students irrespective of the performance of the student but a full scholarships is not always granted. The college provides various scholarship schemes, including: - Scholarships based on academic achievement: partial (up to 50% reduction of the tuition fee) - These include the following: The need-based scholarships where one can be given up to 25% reduction in their tuition fee. - Alumni scholarships - Corporate scholarships For these scholarships, students have to qualify certain conditions for instance; course performance, entrance tests, or even financial status. Since the college has a scholarship committee, it is their responsibility to look into the applications and give scholarships to those deserving. Thus, it is clear that there is no full 100% scholarship for MBA students is granted normally.

At SA Engineering College the MBA students have a decent placement record. According to recent data: - Average salary package: INR 4-6 Lacs per annum. - the highest salary package: This includes salary package from INR 12-15 Lacs per annum. - Placement percentage: 70-80% - Top recruiters: IBM, TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL and other organisations of similar type. Though, the college has a good reputation for the students of MBA, the placement records are not as impressive as for the B.Tech students. Nevertheless, much efforts are being made by the college to enhance it relations and placements in industries for MBA students.
