No, it is not easy to get admission because it's competitive due to the limited availability of seats. If talking about the Life Science Course, only 8 seats are allocated and the admission process is primarily merit-based which is evaluated by performance in prior academic qualifications, particularly the marks from the +2 Council Examination marks. A student needs to fill Common Application Form (CAF) while applying for admission and also needs to select a maximum of 10 colleges or streams. While filling up the CAF, you need to submit your details and educational details. Since the selection is made on a merit basis, it is competitive to get admission.

It's vital to remember that 100% placement is not always guaranteed, even while S B Women's College's Department of Library & Information Science may work hard to offer its students excellent placement help and chances. The employment market, the graduates' abilities, and each candidate's performance in the interview are some of the variables that might affect placement rates. There is probably a placement cell at the institution that helps students find employment, sets up recruiting campaigns, and links them with possible businesses. It's best to get in touch with the college personally or visit their official website, where they could post placement reports or alumni success stories, for the most up-to-date information on placement statistics and success rates.

The S B Women's College, more precisely speaking, its department of Library & Information Science is classified as a Tier 2 institution. Such classification would be attributed for the reasons followed:Established Reputation: The college is established in 1974. The institution has an older background but not similar repute or resources with Tier 1 institutions which include the universities of national importance or known for its research and innovation.Courses offered: Like all the others, college has a programme called Master of Library and Information Science, but does not have all courses or output of research compared to those in Tier 1 colleges.Placement Statistics: Placement support and statistics of S B Women's College don't reach the level as of Tier 1. For example, although Sambalpur University is a Tier 1, its placement programme is highly established, with a median salary of around 4.85 LPA; S B Women's College doesn't provide much statistic data regarding placements. That may suggest the placement arena is less competitive.Accreditation and Affiliations: S B Women's College is not ranked as an institute of national importance and lacks several accreditations that are normally accompanied by Tier 1 colleges. In other words, though S B Women's College surely is a college that promises good quality education and dedicated faculty, it is of Tier 2 because it has no national recognition and lack of good placement statistics with the resources available as against Tier 1 colleges.
