{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}Is it Worth Pursuing B.E./B.Tech at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT)? Here's what students and alumni have to say:# Pros:* Excellent placement records: Over 95% of students get placed every year, with an average salary package of INR10.5 LPA and a the highest package of INR42 LPA.* Strong industry connections: Well-known companies like Microsoft, Facebook, and WorkIndia recruit students regularly.* Autonomous curriculum: The college is autonomous, allowing for flexibility in designing the curriculum to meet industry requirements.* Good infrastructure: Air-conditioned classrooms, well-maintained laboratories, and a good library are among the college's strengths.* Vibrant campus life: With events like Oculus, the annual technical and cultural festival, there's something for everyone.# Cons:* No hostel facility: Students have to rely on paying guest accommodations or manage with family/friends in the nearby area.* Infrastructure limitations: While the campus has improved, some areas could benefit from modernization.* Limited availability of core companies for certain branches: Electronics and Telecommunication, for example, might see fewer core companies compared to Computer Science and Information Technology.Overall, Sardar Patel Institute of Technology seems to be a great choice for students seeking strong placements, a dynamic campus environment, and a well-rounded educational experience. However, it's essential to weigh these pros against the cons, particularly for students considering the college's limited accommodation options.
