{Source: B.Com (Hons) students & alumni}Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Com (Hons) Programs at DU SOLBased on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Com (Hons) programs at DU SOL:* Limited placements: Many students reported that not many companies visited the campus for placements, and the ones that did offered limited opportunities.* Low placement rates: Some students mentioned that only around 10-15% of students got placed, while others stated that the placement rate was lower.* Average salaries: Those who did get placed received average salaries ranging from INR1.5 Lacs to INR3 Lacs per annum.* No guaranteed placements: Several students emphasized that placements were not assured and depended on individual efforts.* Opportunities for CA students: However, some students highlighted that B.Com (Hons) graduates specializing in Chartered Accountancy (CA) might have more opportunities due to the similarity between the two courses.* Campus visits and job fairs: While there weren't many company visits, some students mentioned that campus interviews and job fairs were organized, offering potential job opportunities.Overall, the placement cell at DU SOL seems to have limitations when it comes to securing placements for B.Com (Hons) students, although a few students did report receiving job offers. It's essential for students to be aware of these realities and plan accordingly to enhance their career prospects. [Bullet Points]* Limited placements and low placement rates* Average salaries ranging from INR1.5 Lacs to INR3 Lacs per annum* No guaranteed placements* Opportunities for CA students* Campus visits and job fairs occasionally organized

{Source: B.A. (Hons) students & alumni}Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.A. (Hons) Courses at DU SOLBased on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, it appears that School of Open Learning (SOL) does not have a dedicated placement cell for its students. Instead, students are encouraged to find employment opportunities on their own. While some students mentioned receiving internship opportunities, these were limited and not part of a structured placement program. Here's a summary of the key points:* No dedicated placement cell: Students reported that there was no dedicated placement cell at DU SOL to assist them in finding employment opportunities.* Limited internship opportunities: Some students received internship opportunities, but these were not part of a structured placement program.* Self-initiative required: Students needed to take initiative to find employment opportunities themselves.Overall, it seems that the placement cell at DU SOL is ineffective in terms of providing assistance to students in securing job opportunities. However, individual efforts may lead to success, as noted by some students.

{Source: M.Com students & alumni}Placement Cell Success Rate for M.Com Students at DU SOLUnfortunately, the placement cell at DU SOL did not secure any jobs for M.Com students due to its inactivity. As stated by several students:* "No students were a part of the placement cell."* "There was no separate placement cell because it was not a regular college."However, students could still opt for the central placement cell of the university, which offers placement opportunities. Although these opportunities might be scarce, students who performed well academically could potentially land jobs with companies offering salaries ranging from INR30,000 to INR50,000 per month. In summary, the placement cell at DU SOL failed to secure jobs for M.Com students due to its lack of activity. While alternative options exist, the success rate remains uncertain and dependent on individual performance.

{Source: B.Com students & alumni}Placement Cell:* According to some students, SOL has launched a placement cell, and many students got placed after completing their course.* Reputed companies like Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, etc., visited the college for placements.* The placement cell helped students secure placements with organizations offering a salary range of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month.* Some students mentioned that the college provides placement assistance, making it beneficial for those who want to complete their graduation parallelly with work. However, some students expressed disappointment with the placement process, stating:* That the college doesn't have a strong placement record and lacks a dedicated placement team.* That there were no regular recruitment drives or placement opportunities during their time at the college.* That the placement cell is still developing and doesn't offer competitive salaries.Overall, the placement cell at DU SOL seems to be taking steps towards improving placement outcomes, but more effort may be required to achieve better results.

Candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements in order to be admitted to Delhi University's School of Open Learning (SOL) Master of Arts (MA) programs. Generally, candidates must hold an equivalent qualification or a bachelor's degree from an accredited university under the 10+2+3 program. A minimum aggregate score in the qualifying degree is typically required by the university, usually around 50% or as determined by the program. Furthermore, certain MA programs could have prerequisites connected to a particular field or might demand that applicants pass university-administrated entrance exams. According to University of Delhi guidelines, Delhi University SOL also complies with reservation rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and other categories. It is recommended that prospective applicants consult the official DU SOL website or entrance brochure for comprehensive and current details on eligibility.
