International Master in Business- equivalent of an MBA from SDA Bocconi Asia Center, which does not have seat allocation but takes between 150 to 200 students in a single batch. Candidacy is on a very competitive basis, as it considers undergraduate performance, work experience, and entrance test performance-an example is the Bocconi Test, GMAT, or GRE-and personal interview for selection purposes. In doing so, the program aims to maintain a diverse cohort of students with various academic and professional backgrounds that would foster a global learning environment.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center does not have a class cut-off for its International Master in Business equivalent to an MBA. But there is a holistic evaluation based on the academic record, test scores, work experience, and personal interview. A score of more than 600 in GMAT is usually considered competitive. CAT scores of 90+ percentiles can also be considered. There is also the Bocconi Test, and while there's no fixed cutoff, it's really an overall profile, leadership potential, and fit for the program, so just test scores are not considered here, either.

Officially, SDA Bocconi Asia Center does not declare any NMAT cut off for its MBA. But to become competitive, one needs to have a score above 200 on the NMAT. Though there is no fixed cut off, a higher score gives an immense benefit in getting the admission call. Along with the NMAT score, other factors are also kept under consideration in the admission process- academic record, work experience, and results of the personal interview. Of course, the cut-point each year would depend on the applicant pool at the time, but the overall profile is what really ensures gaining admission.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center is strong on placements and best suited for the mid-career candidate looking for an impetus to a more senior position. Although placement takes precedence, it is not into direct employment so much as it helps candidates assume a management role or start an entrepreneurial venture. Graduates move into management positions or into another industry or function upon graduation. Many also leverage the international Bocconi alumni network as well as industry connections to source opportunities. A positive brand reputation and universal access to these pools provide a good opportunity to advance a career, but much more depends on individual experience and career goals than does a structured campus recruitment program.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center does not release specific data regarding placement figures for its Global Executive Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GEP). Having the focus of this program on experienced professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives, it is relatively much more concerned with leadership development, business skills, and entrepreneurial capabilities than with the short-term goal of placements. Graduates will most likely utilize the program for career advancement, new business start-ups, or innovation in organizations. Salary outcomes are highly variable depending on the backgrounds, industries, and career goals, and therefore cannot be generalized into an average package.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center is very prestigious both in Mumbai and India by virtue of its International Master in Business, being viewed almost in the same light as an MBA, and its global reputation along with the strong Bocconi alumni network. It ranks among the top institutions for management education because of the robust curriculum, international exposure, and a good record on placement, besides the strength of ties to multinational corporations. What is best, however, remains a matter of personal preference and a comparative analysis with other top-tier institutions in Mumbai such as SP Jain Institute of Management, NMIMS, and TISS.
