Tour to the Life in SGSITS.
Placements: In Industrial and Production Engineering, the top recruiters are Havells, Adani, Renishaw, JSW Sell, Bridgestone, Shakti Pumps, GreyB, LTIMindTree. The highest package is offered by Bridgestone, i.e., 12 LPA and the lowest is 3.4 LPA by LTIMindTree. Internships are offered by various organisations such as Havells, Shakti Pumps, CNH (training), Volvo Eicher (training), etc. Approximately 50% students of our branch get placed in some or the other companies. The top roles offered are Research Analyst, Business Analyst.
Infrastructure: SGSITS lacks infrastructure-wise. You won't get to see highly equipped labs and comfortable classrooms. Although, the central library, dining hall and sports area is well-equipped. This includes study rooms, lawn tennis court, gymnasium, badminton, basketball, cricket ground, turf, etc.
Faculty: The faculty members are really knowledgeable in the institute and are approachable. The course curriculum has a lot to learn from, yet you can find few extremely conventional approaches towards topics. The semester exams are of average to above average level. Past year exam papers are something you should not miss out on.
Other: I was particularly interested in the college because of its reputation and high demand. Particularly, in my course, the few things which I would like to be better or improved upon should be more equipped labs, and comfortable classrooms. There are a lot of scholarships which students can apply for, but you need to keep an eye on it. There are a lot of fests happening in the institute every now and then with a lot of college clubs. The annual techno-cultural fest is known as AAYAM.

College has a lush green environment, provides good packages and internship opportunities.
Placements: There is a 100% guarantee of placement for eligible CS students. Students from other branches also have good placement opportunities. In recent years, the highest salary package was 35 LPA, which was offered to an ECE student. Prestigious companies like Goldman Sachs, Oracle, Mastercard, Deloitte, Mahindra, Asian Paints, TCS, and Grow visit our campus for placements. Students have a good chance of getting internships with these companies. In my batch alone, students have interned at Goldman Sachs, LinkedIn, and other companies.
Infrastructure: The college campus is lush green, with greenery and well-maintained gardens all around. The college provides decent labs, classrooms, and a very large collection of books in the library, along with a study area. The college encourages students to participate in sports competitions, clubs, and cultural activities. It also provides a dining hall where students can have lunch at a very minimal cost, as well as a canteen.
Faculty: Our college has highly educated teachers and faculty, some of whom are IITIANs or NITIANs and have PhDs. The curriculum is perfect for students who plan to work in the private sector. The college maintains a decorum for the semester exams, which are of a certain level of difficulty.
Other: The college provides a decent package to students, and guarantees placement for eligible students. The college has various clubs that conduct events monthly, and a student fest is held annually.

This college has good placements, faculty, alumni network and connectivity.
Placements: Around 65% of the students get placed from electronics and telecommunications while the others prepare for competitive exams like GATE, CAT, etc. The highest package offered was 37 LPA and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Cognizant and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very old and poor, most of the equipments are not working. The Library is quite good. The hostel it is just okay. There is poor wifi but the canteen is good. Sports and games are very poor as there is only one playground which too is very small.
Faculty: Mostly the old professors are really knowledgeable, their teaching sense is extraordinary. But then the new faculty members are not that good, you'll need youtube to study. The curriculum is up to date as the college is autonomous. Semester exams are tough but you can score decent by solving previous year papers and reading class notes. Passing percentage varies from subject to subject and depends on the faculty too. There is extremely strict checking done for some of the subjects, even then the passing percentage is 90%.
Other: Fees is very less for the placements offered, so it's definitely value for money. I chose EnTc because it opens two paths for me, I could go for software and also for the core. I think the labs are to be taken care of by the college. There are very less events in the college. The management is very strict and orthodox. Many of the events are not permitted after 7 pm. During fest, boys and girls are not allowed to sit together. Connectivity is the best part as the college is in the middle of the city, the railway station is extremely close being within 1 km radius and the airport is at a distance of 14 km. If you belong to the SC/ST category, you will get a scholarship. Also, if you are an MP domicile, you can get MMVY scholarship. Again, there’s not much extracurricular activity happening. The teachers don't support at all. So if you want a good college life, it's really difficult here but you can make it good by yourself, can't rely on the college.

Brief bootup of Shri G. S. Institute of Technology and Science.
Placements: The placement statistics for my branch are very good, with around 80% of students getting placed every year. There are many companies that take part in the placement process, and they have different placement rounds. The core companies of every branch come every year, and the ratio of IT companies is higher than that of other branches.
Infrastructure: The Shri G. S. Institute of Technology and Science campus has a mix of old and new buildings. Some departments are housed in newly constructed buildings, while others are in buildings that date back to the college's founding in 1852. Some of the older buildings are in need of renovation. ATC and LT are two new buildings that provide a beautiful environment for students. The campus also has many gardens.
Faculty: The faculty at Shri G. S. Institute of Technology and Science are very experienced and well-trained, with most having at least a master's degree in their field. Some even have a PhD. All of them have a vast knowledge of their subjects and a lot of practical experience.
Other: College have very nice environment.

Quite dissatisfied with the placement cell as they are not cooperative, overall good college.
Placements: Placement season is on in SGSITS, till now 3 students got placed for job and internships. Highest package for MCA is 14 LPA and average is nearly 3.5 to 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, Deloitte, Infosys etc. Top roles are software developer, associate software developer etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of SGSITS is quite big. Here we have a basketball court, lawn tennis court, cricket and football ground, two auditorium, an impressive Advance training center building ,Cafe 91 for having fun with mates, large parking area, mess ,a two floor huge library, garden, food mess, stationary shop, a gym in affordable price is also there.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful but for our MCA course we don't have much experienced teachers ,they are good but not that high quality teaching we got. Curriculum is quite relevant and it makes students industry ready and well trained. Semester exams are moderate to difficult level, pass percentage is 60 to 70 %.
Other: I choose this course because I have done bsc in computer science and I thought MCA is right choice for entrance in IT field. Best thing of this course is that it makes you industry ready and you get exposure to it field. I think placement course must be more supportive to MCA students. In my college, fests are quite impressive, campus surroundings are peaceful, scholarships are given to ST, SC, once students and also to general students who are brilliant in studies. Sports and other cultural activities held on large scale.

Poor infrastructure but good in acedamics.
Placements: I am in civil engineering branch although I am in first year so I don't know much about the placements but i have talked to few seniors and they said that placements of core branches are not that good, like they are pretty average. Placements ratio is decent though, you can easily get placed if you are an average student.
Infrastructure: The buildings of civil and mechanical department are very old and haven't renovated till now. Civil and mechanical engineering are the most old branches of SGSITS college of Indore. The hostels are also not that good. The food is good though, but there isn't any wifi, cleaning, attached bathroom facilities.
Faculty: The only thing good in this college is it's academics. It's pretty strict on that. The teachers are knowledgeable and helpful bit at the end of the day you have to study by yourself only just like every other college. As a fresher I haven't given any of the exams but they say it's not easy to pass just like that.

Q:   Can I get admission in SGSITS Indore for B.Tech with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Although obtaining a seat in SGSITS Indore for B.Tech admission requires a minimum score of 60% in Class 12, it is unlikely due to the high cut-offs and dependence on JEE Main results. Competitive branches are difficult to pass with 60% because they demand scores in the 200+ to 300+ range. Although reservations or lateral entrance with an appropriate Diploma may offer alternative avenues for admission, fierce competition further diminishes prospects. Overall, it is still challenging to get admitted to SGSITS Indore's B.Tech programs with a 60% class 12 grade even after completing the basic eligibility requirements.

Q:   Can I get admission in SGSITS Indore for B.Tech with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Regretfully, 60% in Class 12 is typically insufficient for direct admission to SGSITS Indore's B.Tech program. Seven things explain why:

SGSITS mostly takes JEE into account. Principal score: The class 12th percentage is hardly significant.
Competitiveness of the B.Tech curriculum: high cut-offs, particularly in well-known fields like IT and CSE.
No minimum score required to pass JEE Not even with a strong 12th percentile.
An alternate list of merits Though the likelihood is slim, some seats might be filled based on the 12th percentage.
Concentrate on other choices: After receiving your Diploma or B.Sc., look into different colleges and possible lateral entry.
Attempt again JEE Main: To improve your chances of getting into SGSITS or other B.Tech institutes, aim for a higher score.
Examine reputable sources: Keep abreast of DTE Madhya and SGSITS admission requirements.

Q:   Does SGSITS Indore accept JEE score?

A:

Certainly, SGSITS Indore indeed accepts JEE Main scores as the primary criterion for B.Tech. admissions, aligning with the standard practice across Indian engineering colleges. The specific cut-off ranks for popular specializations, such as Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, vary annually based on factors like seat availability and applicant pool.

It's crucial to note that while Class 12th board exam marks are considered, the emphasis is significantly higher on JEE Main scores. For those who haven't taken JEE Main, an alternative is applying through Madhya Pradesh's state-level engineering entrance exam (MPPET).

Prospective applicants should be aware that the application window typically opens in February-March and closes in May-June. Staying updated on these timelines and ensuring timely submission of relevant documents is essential for a smooth application process.

Q:   Can I get into Shri GS Institute of Technology & Science Indore with 70%?

A:

It depends on a few factors whether or not you can get into Shri GS Institute of Technology & Science (SGSITS) Indore with 70% marks. It's difficult to get admitted with 70% if you're from the general category because the cutoffs are typically higher, frequently above 75%. However, you might have a better chance with 70% marks if you fall under a protected group like SC, ST, or OBC. Typically, reserved categories have lower cutoffs than general categories. Attempting to enter through the state quota is another option. Students from the state where the college is located are given priority for some seats. The cutoffs for state quotas are typically lower than the all-India quota.Work on raising your JEE Main exam score to increase your prospects. For admission, that grade is very important. In brief, depending on your category and desired branch, you can either enter into SGSITS with 70% or you can't. However, increasing your JEE Main score and taking the state quota into account can increase your chances.

Q:   Can I get into SGSITS Indore with 70% in class 12th?

A:

Gaining admission to SGSITS Indore with a 70% score in Class 12th is contingent on various factors, making it challenging to provide a definitive answer. Admission to B.Tech. programs at SGSITS primarily hinges on JEE Main scores, where the weightage is significantly higher than Class 12th marks. The competitiveness of the program, category considerations, and the evolving nature of cut-off ranks through different counseling rounds further contribute to the complexity of admission decisions.

To assess your chances, it's crucial to consider your JEE Main score and compare it with previous years' cut-off ranks for your preferred B.Tech. programme at SGSITS, factoring in your category. Researching programme availability and staying updated on the official website for the latest cut-off ranks and counseling schedules is essential.

While a commendable Class 12th score is advantageous, placing emphasis on JEE Main preparation and navigating the admission process strategically will maximize your chances. Keep in mind that opportunities may persist in subsequent counseling rounds based on rank fluctuations and seat availability.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
