No, maths as a subject in +2 is important for B.Com(Hons.). It's not important for you to add it in the best four though.

There will be a different cutoff for the OBC category students.
But to avail OBC category quota, you have to have a non-creamy layer certificate.
Teachers there will check your non creamy layer certificate, i.e. your parent's annual income.

Irrespective of the percentage, in your case, you won't be eligible for admission in SRCC because it's compulsory to have Maths in +2.

Could you please be a little more clear about the question. Do you mean the general electives in college or the 5th subject in +2?

I can speak to the advantages of pursuing your business education in Canada.
1) Reputation - Most premier business schools in Canada - Schulich, Rotman, Ivey, Queen's (to name a few) are very well respected by Canadian employers and globally for the quality of education offered. You will see ranking agencies such as Forbes, Economist, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times consistently rank these schools amongst the top 100 in the world.
2) Economy- a strong and diverse economy with a thriving banking, IT manufacturing, CPG, retail, nonprofit, healthcare sector. Please note, due to the current oil price dip, the oil industry is going through a cyclical downturn. Hopefully, it should be seeing growth soon. Canada also enjoys very strong bilateral trades with USA, giving it a strong market to keep its economy strong.
3) MBA and Employability - The MBA degree holds a lot of weightage especially. For international students when it comes to employment. Most business schools publish an annual employment and salary report, where 80-95% of the graduating class is placed within 3 months of graduation. A large percentage of these graduates have the opportunity to work in Canada because of a favorable work permit policy. Post Graduate Work Permit - as you can imagine, one of the key barriers for employers recruiting foreign graduates is sponsorship of the work permit. This barrier can significantly impact a student's financial wellbeing, dampen the student experience and sometimes cause unnecessary stress. The Canadian government continues to have favorable immigration laws relating to work permits and permanent residence. Foreign graduates depending on the duration of their Master's degree, can receive an open work permit of up to 3 years (to receive any work permit, you have to study for at least 8 months in Canada). This allows a graduate to work for any employer across the country. Please refer to the CIC website for up to date information on this - Stay in Canada after graduation. Immigration - Canada continues to invite foreign nationals to immigrate to the country. Please read more about the Express Entry system - How Express Entry works to see how the new system weighs a Master's degree from a Canadian University while evaluating an application. This may be useful.

The direct method is the merit-based method, which means you get admission based on your score in graduation, in your case 84.3%. Exam-based method is where you have to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the college itself and your admission would depend on the marks you score in this entrance. You can either go for Masters (M.Com/ MA in economics) or GBO (which is equivalent to a MBA).
