Psychology department was the best.

Placements: There were 50 students. For psychology we do not have placements since it is UG. But there were 40 percent who got a PG course in our college and many internships. Very genuine staff and department compared to others in the college. We had internships during the course and an understanding of how things work, which helped us choose our specialisation. The faculty members Are available always to support us in any way for exams or for internships. They do give us recommendation letters to pursue PG or to join internships. Even the main management or the principal would help but that process would take more time.

Infrastructure: The hostel is below average because it is does not have a good infrastructure and it's a real PG arranged by the college, the college did not own it. There were many rules and regulations. The food wasn't very good either. The canteen food in college also had no taste, it was jain good with no onions or spices, it was healthy but very tasteless and boring dishes. The infrastructure is really excellent, the labs have a very good standard and quality especially for the Viscom department. Library was techy and class as well with full air conditioned facilities. There are many sports available. We represented India in olympic for archery, the other sports we are booming, there is a lot of support and encouragement but the PT teachers are not skilled to train for Zonal. With our own skills we can participate and win.

Faculty: Teachers are very kind and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching was excellent. The course makes students industry ready. Exams are very easy and an average student can clear without studying. They do provide support emotionally as well. All my professors are in touch with me still and do support me in all ways possible. They were also practising counsellors, we also had a counsellor at college from our department.

Other: I chose this course in order to help people. The course makes us understand only people can help themselves as a psychologist we can oly show the way. The course maybe could have more practical exposure. Extra curriculars are very well supported .

Review of Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women.

Placements: Psychology students do have placements. But in the psychology field only when we do masters, we can specialise further, hence generally most students opt to pursue their higher education. There were 52 students in our batch, and 2 students went for the campus interview. One of the students got selected.

Infrastructure: I like the library on campus. It has a very good infrastructure and a good collection of books and journals. The food served in the canteen is very good. They have both north and south Indian foods. We do have a medical facility known as Appollo Shine, and it is good. All the classrooms have projects, which are helpful in many ways during class times.

Faculty: Teachers in the psychology department are amazing. They are very knowledgeable and qualified. Their teaching methods are good. The course curriculum is very good. They follow the curriculum as per University of Madras as the college is affiliated to it.

Other: I opted for this course because I always wanted to learn more about psychology. I never expected more but what I got is priceless, amazing teachers, supportive classmates and a good 3 years of experiences. The psychology department provides a very good environment for students to explore themselves and encourage them to learn new things from different aspects.

I am absolutely satisfied with our college, and faculty members are good.

Placements: Almost 100% of the students from our course got internships on the campus, and it is really helpful for our future. All the students from our course got roles with the psychology base, and I really appreciate it. Internships are available both through on-campus and off-campus drives.

Infrastructure: Facilities are very good here like classrooms, labs, canteen, library, etc. The quality of the food served in the canteens is very good, and we can enjoy there and spend our good time. Medical facilities are also good, and they take care of our health also.

Faculty: Teachers here are really helpful, and their teaching quality is fantastic, extremely very well and knowledgeable. Their teaching methods are good and highly useful to the corporate or personal life of all the students. For students who are weak in subjects, they help personally also.

Other: Events and fests are organised in our college, and I really enjoyed them. Scholarships are provided here, and the campus crowd is very well. Extracurricular activities are conducted here.

Placements: There is a placement drive conducted every year. For the third years, there is also a compulsory placement training that is conducted by the college for soft skills, aptitude and other related topics. In the field of psychology, a masters degree is the minimum required for working as a practitioner. Hence, not many students opt for placement.

Infrastructure: There are three buildings on the campus to encompass all the courses that they teach. The canteen is provided by a renowned cater of the city, Mansukh. It is affordable and serves pure vegetarian variety. The library is airconditioned and is open to students beyond their particular course timings. There is no hostel facility available at the moment. Medical facilities are provided through a tie-up with Apollo Hospitals. In addition to this, they also provide a health card of Apollo shine which offers a discount to students at the Apollo chain of hospitals even after passing out. Sporting events are held every year and have games like cricket, basketball, kho-kho, chess, football, tennis and badminton among a few others.

Faculty: Faculty members in our department are knowledgeable and well-versed in the subject. They are ready to go out of their way to encourage students to learn. Even they are very supportive of extra-curricular activities. University of Madras provides the course curriculum as it is affiliated to the college.

Other: I chose a college in Chennai because there were no colleges in Mumbai, offering a bachelor of science in psychology. The plus point here is that the timings of the course are the timmings and the first shift that is morning shift which is more convenient than evening college. It gets over by early afternoon, leaving students ample time for other activities.

Good exposure and holistic learning provided.

Placements: All final years are told to participate in a pre-placement training programme which adequately equips us for the placement drive that occurs every year. The training programme includes topics such as soft skills, aptitude and other related topics.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure for my course was good. Classrooms were adequate with smart boards for technical usage. The psychology lab was well maintained with equipment that are well functioning. The library has a lot of psychology related books and journals that can be accessed by the students.

Faculty: The faculty and department for my course are very efficient. The curriculum covers all the basic concepts in psychology. The faculty teaches with care and it is understandable with ease. They were very helpful and knowledgeable.
