The college does not have a hostel service in the campus premises as it is an off campus college. There are PGs near by where the students can stay, the expense for PGs would depend on the types of rooms you take. On an average the cost would be around Rs. 6,500 around Shahdara and can vary depending on the location. Do check for PGs in person and only then decide, for campus facilities hostel you would have to visit the on- campus hostels which are around 25 minutes away from Shyam Lal College.

If you miss an internal exam and there is a specific reason behind it you can talk to the administration and the teachers regarding the same. Depending on your reason you might get a second chance to perform in the internal exam otherwise you can get a 0 out of those 25 marks which can be extremely difficult for anyone to cope in the final external exam. All the students are advised to be careful regarding the dates and do not miss them unless there are genuine reasons.

There are certain courses you can do simultaneously like the additional language courses which are offered by the CHD department of the college. Other than that, there are other limited courses which can be better told by the administration department of the college or you can check out the DU guidelines for the two programs you wish to pursue.
