As you are non-Maharastrian you must know that these colleges have reserved around 80% seats for Maharastrians. and your rank is not so enough to get CSE in this college.
Please go with another college.

Placements : The placements here are great. We have about 90% placements in CE alone. The packaged are varying from 3 lakhs per annum to 16 lakhs per annum. The college has an excellent placement cell which is highly organized. It works very smoothly and does what's best for all the students.
Infrastructure : The college has excellent infrastructure. There are two canteens. One is a small quick snack cafeteria and second is a full-scale canteen. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled with internet speeds of up to 10 MBPS. We have great quality labs. There is an entire sports room.
The faculty members are very professional in their work. You would never require seeking external tutoring. One of the most organized course curricula is followed here. Every date is mentioned beforehand, and the target dates are always met with the help of the great organization.

The average placement package for B. TECH in printing and packaging technology is around 3-4 lacs while the highest placement package for the same branch is around 10 lacs.
Some of the companies that make rounds during the placement season of 2017 for printing and packaging technology branch are:
IBM, oracle, Cadbury, TCS, Tech Mahindra, L&T Ltd., Saint-Gobain, JSW Steel Ltd, ZTE Bangalore, Dabur India Ltd.
If you don't manage to get in through campus placements and go for off campus placement, then the pay package is even lower and more difficult to get through.
The training and placement cell is really dormant and is only there in the name sake and does nothing more than issuing certificates no objection certificate (NOC) for internships and jobs.
With this, I hope you would make the right choice by joining the college and one should consider this only if there is no other better college to get admission at.
Only then one should resort to getting admission at this college or should consider dropping a year.
Cheers!

It would certainly a good choice to join SIES because this college is one of the pioneers in starting the course and certainly know a thing or two more about this course than anyone else. Also since this was one of the first colleges to start this course, they have slightly more industry contacts in this particular field which will be useful if you are looking for a job after graduation. Also VJTI, DJ Sanghvi, Fr. Angels Bandra and Jondhale also offer a similar course closely related to your field. But since SIES has more experience in delivering and handling this course I would strongly suggest to go for it. All the best.

If you are considering this college, then it is safe to say that your marks in the region of maybe about 100-120. This means that you haven't got that many options in terms of good colleges. To be honest, SIES lacks in infrastructure when compared to Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science or Bhartiya Vidyapeeth. Also, in terms of placement, SIES lags when compared to Bhartiya Vidyapeeth. Although, it is to be considered that mechanical branch has considerably low placement rates in all the colleges. In sincerity, it does not matter which college you take, because they are all equally good with their own pros and cons. Your knowledge will matter more to the industry than the college from which you graduated. And, no college gives you enough knowledge.
