Although admission to the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) MBBS programme can be tough, it is more affordable than some prestigious medical schools. Students are admitted to the institute based on their NEET-UG scores, and the cutoff score varies year based on the volume of applications and available seats. Usually, especially for the general category, applicants need to score far higher than the minimal qualifying percentile to be admitted. The NEET-UG cutoff scores for admission to the MBBS programme in 2024 varied from 162 for students in the general category to 127 for those in the reserved category. Despite the difficulty of the competition, people who perform well on the NEET have a better opportunity because there are comparatively more seats available (100 for MBBS).

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announces the NEET result date nationally it is not exclusive to Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS). NEET UG results are often released in June or July four to six weeks following the test. Students who wish to be admitted to SAIMS must take part in counselling by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for the All-India quota or the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, following the announcement of the results. The college considers the scores for admission rather than releasing individual NEET results. For information on counselling and admissions timetables, candidates should frequently visit the official NEET and SAIMS websites.
