It was set up in the year 2003 and is part of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya University. SAIMS offers undergraduate (MBBS: Undergraduate at banner 200 (150 seats) and postgraduate (MD/MS: 67 seats) courses mainly in the fields of medical science. Key statistics: Out of a total of fifty, fifteen faculty members are from AIIMS, ten faculty members from PGIMER and the remaining eighty per cent are faculty members from top medical colleges. Average teaching experience: 12 years. With daily balanced meals and hygienic circumstances, the food quality at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) hostel mess is generally good. Over time, though some pupils find the taste monotonous. Four meals a day are offered on the menu to meet basic dietary requirements. It is appropriate for the majority of pupils because efforts are made to maintain health and hygiene standards. Nevertheless for variety, many people prefer to eat outside occasionally. In general, residents had a respectable experience with the mess facilities.
