Hi, have you filled in the application form? If no, you can apply with your CAT, MAT or CMAT scores. If you meet the required eligibility criteria (MAT, CMAT 80 percentile, and CAT 60 percentile) you will get a mail regarding the GD and PI. You will get the mail quite in advance so you can plan your arrangements. In case you have not applied please make sure that you apply soon with your entrance test scores.

Hi, it is better to have yourself updated with the current topics in politics, business and economy in general. Make sure to read newspapers regularly so that you will be quite aware of whats been happening recently. Mostly your communication skills will be tested. Be confident and be aware of whats happening around you and that should be more than enough. All the very best for your GD-PI.

Yes, the programme is fully residential but you will be given four passes every month to go home on the weekends, there are no restrictions, in addition, MBA students also have the choice to go out daily for shopping, etc. If you want to but must be inside the hostel campus before 8 PM.

In the overall comparison for placement opportunities, HR tends to be low. It is due to industry setting as one HR is enough in many companies to manage up to 1000+ workforce (e.g. IT company). The recruitment at HR level is limited in any organization and is also reflected typically in placements too. We wish that a student should not fix her career as HR without even having an understanding towards the subject, learning process, suitability to the nature of job and opportunities availability. Many students make this mistake of fixing their career path even before they know what it is. We advise you to join a good program, do the first two semesters and understand what suits you more and what opportunities can make up your choices. Then you opt for specialization. The choice of specialization is applicable only from III semester. You have enough time!
If you arrive at HR specialization as part of this process, you can still do it and do well in placements too.

SSN SOM has a lot of opportunities, when it comes to placements. A lot of reputed companies visit our campus and it depends on the individual capability of the students to get placed or not. Percentage of placements in a particular year depends on the performance of the students. As far as companies, the college makes sure that a lot of companies come for interviews and getting placed solely depends on performance and companies expectations. The average salary is around INR 4 to INR 4.5 lacs and maximum is around INR 6 to INR 6.5 lacs.
