MBA is a very short and highly learning oriented program. The amount of effort that a student is expected to put is significant. MBA has been made residential to enable students stand up to the expectations of industry so that their placement opportunities are realized. Each student is provided with a single room accommodation with wi-fi connectivity to connect them to the stream of learning processes.

You can apply for the course either through Government quota or through management quota. If you are applying through management quota, you should fill in the application form provided in the SSN Somca website and send it to the college on or before July 15th. If you are applying through Government quota then you should apply for counseling . Please check this website - www.tn-mbamca.com for applying the same( The last date is 15th July). You can apply in both the ways as you have time. And please note that there is no difference in the fee structure for students applying through government quota and management quota. The fee is 2 Lakh per annum, which includes the hostel fee also. You can contact the Somca office for more details if you want to the fee structure for air conditioned room. The mess fee should be paid separately every month which will be around 2000-2500.

You can apply separately for SSN using your TANCET score if you want to join through management quota. Last date for applying SSN through govt quota then please apply for the counseling. The registrations have started. You can apply for the same in online. check the Anna university website. The last date for applying for counseling is also on July 15th.

Placement is not a guarantee. It depends on how well you project yourself to the company. The placement percentage have been around 80- 85% till now. And yes there are chances for you to change your field from programming if you pursue MBA, as the course is all about management.

For government quota, we will not be able to advise as we have to wait for TANCET 2016 ranks. If you wish to apply under management quota, you can apply as your score is above the cutoff that we desire for management quota admission. Kindly note that SSN charges the same fee for both government quota and management quota seats. All government quota seats get filled on day 1 of counseling and hence we request all merit oriented applicants to file their applications under management quota inorder to get admission to the program.
