I had a wonderful college life with the best possible learning.
Placements: Particularly in our course, placements are mostly about getting internships in various media houses. More than 50% of the students get the chance, but a few students opt for it because every student aims to pursue M.Sc/MA degree. The stipend offered ranges between Rs. 10,000-20,000 per month, and it will be more based on the experience. Studios like SVF and Surinder visit here regularly.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is world-class here. The labs and studios are of industry level and give us the best possible experience. The classrooms are noise proof, and the library is one of the biggest in the city. The hostel is also nice. The quality of served food is above average and served thrice a day. The canteen has fresh food.
Faculty: The faculty members here are extremely knowledgeable. They all have the required experience of the subject which they teach, and all of them are from the industry. The course curriculum is designed in such a manner that it gives an overview of everything so that you can choose what's right for you after three years. The semester exams are of average difficulty, and around 80% of the students pass regularly.
Other: I chose this course solely because I was interested in the media field. Xavier's proved that I was not a wrong decision. This gave me a holistic knowledge about everything. I just wish that the fee should be reduced a bit, though it's certainly less than other colleges. The main fest of our college named Xavotsav is one of the best in the country. Other than that, departmental fests are organised across the year. All these combined make the experience worthy enough.

I have an amazing experience here.
Placements: About 20% of the students get in house campusing, and 60% of the students opt for higher studies. The remaining students got placement by their own merit. The highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. The average salary offered ranges from Rs. 10,000-20,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like SVF, Viacom 18 Media and IPAC visit our campus for placements. About 20% of the students from our course got an internship in companies like SVF, Viacom 18 Media, IPAC, A12 Technology and Shutter Film Media House. Roles like cinematographer, direction, graphic designer, journalist and content writer.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a fully developed and updated lab and technology. Our college provides different labs for cinematography along with equipment like lights, cameras, studio setup and monitors. We also have an editing lab with Mac for excellent workflow and a sound lab with all the sound equipment needed for the production of sound. The canteen serves a variety of food like sandwiches, burgers, puri sabji, rice sabji, momos, chicken roll, chicken 65, cold drinks, chips, etc. There is an appropriate room allotted for any medical emergency. For sports, the college equally encourages us to play as they encourage our academics. Our college provides us with special credits for sports and social works.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and highly educated on their subject. Even during the online classes, they helped us as much as they could. The course curriculum is vast, from photography to sound engineering, marketing, journalism, film analysis, etc. In the exams, they gave us what they prepared for us in the class. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I have chosen this course because of its wide variety of subjects and exposure to the media industry. The attendance requirement is pretty tight, that is 75%. Our college organises several events in the entire year, along with one of the largest fest in Kolkata named XAVOTSAV.

Campus life is amazing and a boost to your curriculum vitae.
Placements: The in-house placement structure is not that good for this course. However, due to the degree of this well-reputed esteemed organisation, we could easily get some off-house placements. About 80% of the students did internships, and 15% of the students got in-house placements based on the last 5 years report. There is no fixed limit on the highest and the lowest salary packages. Top recruiting companies are SVF, Viacom Media, ABP Network, etc. Apart from this, various startups visit the college for internship opportunities. Some roles offered in our course are advertising manager, videographer, sound editor, video editor, cinematographer, social media manager, scriptwriter and professor.
Infrastructure: Lab facilities are very good with the iMac set up in the video lab, and the sound studio is well-fitted with proper noise cancellation facilities. The hostel does not contain air-conditioning facility, but the quality of food and lifestyle is pretty good. Students from outside the state won't have any difficulties due to the differences based on their linguistic and culture. Medical facilities are all-time aware of the well-being of the students. Each year the college arranges XPL, i.e., an annual sports event. The library and classrooms have air-conditioning facilities. The canteen food is not that good. However, there are some affordable restaurants nearby.
Faculty: Faculty members are indeed helpful, and they took great care to teach us our desired courses effectively. We don't need additional tuition, and the notes and study modules from the professors are very helpful for us. The course curriculum is pretty relevant in this modern era, and it makes students prepared for industry and marketing.
Other: We have lots of events throughout the year. Our course has a flagship event named Cinematheque, where competitions related to cinema and seminars are held. Apart from that, there are lots of other societies which are organising lots of different things. Xavotsav is a college fest that has the footsteps of more than 5,000 people.

Every student of this college hates the administration.
Placements: None of the students I have known has got placed anywhere. It's completely on one's part to seek for it. If one has a good rapport with professors, then they may get you some internships, that too it isn't always the case. If one expects any internships, then this is not the place.
Infrastructure: We have a good enough studio, separate labs for sound and editing.
Faculty: The sound and editing professors are pretty good, and our sound professor has worked with many celebrity sound designers, and in many Bollywood and Tollywood films as well. The editing professor is a national award winner too. All the professors in our college are highly qualified, but the problem lies in imparting that knowledge. At the same time, some are truly great tutors, while a few of them are not. They expect us to know each and everything and when we ask regarding our queries, those same questions are thrown back at us.
Other: I opted for this course because initially, I thought this course would be to do at least half of it about journalism. But this is completely for students who want to pursue the film career. What happens is people who wanted journalism are having to study films which may sound easy or at least understandable to study, but it's not, especially for students like me who had commerce or science in 11th and 12th standard.

The strictest campus with a spirited heart.
Placements: Most of them go into filmmaking and journalism, all of us mostly work in media houses. Regarding the package system I am not very sure. There are no such big companies coming for us, instead we need to look for them. But the degree has a good gravity.
Infrastructure: We have the best labs in the city all AC classrooms well furnished and imacs for further works. The quality of boarding infrastructure is also top notch no issue there. We have playgrounds, purified water, health cemtres, and one of the oldest and the biggest college library.
Faculty: As I know, they are the best one can get in a newer subject like masscom. They are mostly national award winners or film scholars. It makes students more than ready, alot ahead of the bunch who are not prepared in an apt manner. Students are also very versatile as except filmmaking and journalism, marketing public relations etc. Are also included in the curriculum.
Other: I love filmmaking. Freedom and creativity are the best things.
