Hi Trisha,

Visual Culture & communication
Audiography
Video Editing
Film History
History of Journalism
Print Journalism
Videography
Media & cultural studies
Film Movements
TV & Radio Journalism
Scriptwriting
Film Paradigms & practices

Theories of Performing Arts (Dance & Theatre)
Music & Sound Design

Screenplay writing.
Lastly, students have to make a film which will be considered as degree film. I think the outline is indeed very detailed.
Along with all these core subjects, there will be some compulsory papers. Those are:
One language (Bengali/Hindi/English)
English
Foundation Course with two subjects; i) Religion & ii) Character Development
Environmental Science.
That's all.
All the best.

Hi Abhinav,
There is no such course in SXCKOL.
Journalism is an ancillary subject with B.Sc in mass communication & videography and other BA honors degrees, such as Bengali, English, Pol. Sc. & Sociology.

Yes, you can get admission form of both SXCKOL and St. Xavier's University, Kolkata. Here I guess you are asking for form of SXCKOL. Go to the link
http://www.sxccal.edu/admissions/SXCAdmission2017/UG2017/default.htm you'll get the form very soon.
Your interest matches with mine. Subhamay, unfortunately, SXCKOL doesn't have any such course and you can hardly find any college or university which offers a course on sports journalism in all over India. I think there is an institute in Pune which has the course and Sheffield Hallam University is the best sports journalism institute all over the world.
What you can do is get admission in the course called B.Sc mass communication & videography in SXCKOL or any other college which offers B.A. journalism & mass communication or bachelor in media science. Some colleges provide specialization in 3rd year of a bachelor degree, there you can do sports journalism or after graduation, you can choose an institute which has sports journalism as the specialization to pursue your PG.
I think the above mentioned information will help you.
Lastly, you can't be a WBBHSE student because no such governing body exists. It's WBCHSE. Ours is Council not Board.
All the best.

Hi Abid,
Belonging to a middle-class family is not an issue at all. If your ambition is upper-class then nothing can stop you to achieve it.
There is a provision of getting a scholarship. Actually, there are many scholarships for particular subjects but nothing is there for mass communication and videography. But St. Xavier's College has always endeavored to make its educational services available to the financially less stronger students by providing generous concessions. Students in need of concession should meet the vice-principal. So if you manage to get the opportunity to get admission then you can go to the VP of Arts & Science. He will help you.
