The AIAEE stands for All India AME Entrance Examination. It is the entrance examination for getting admission for the course of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering at Indian Institute of Aircraft Engineering and it is introduced to decide eligibility for admission at IIAE only.
Candidate should have basic knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and general awareness to qualify AIAEE. MCQs will be asked in examination. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is not a diploma but a degree course leading to degree of BSc. In present Indian conditions, this course has great potential for placements. This is so since civil aviation traffic is increasing at almost 15% per annum along with cargo also. This in turn causes opportunities for employment.

An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) in India is a person specifically licensed or authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, to certify the airworthiness (fit to fly) of an aircraft and its systems. All civil aircraft are required to be certified airworthy before each flight by a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Eligibility: - The applicant must have passed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board or university or its equivalent. He should be physically fit.

Candidates seeking admission for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course should visit Star Aviation Academy along with following documents
1.Date of birth certificate or matric certificate which has Date of Birth (Original with two self attested copies).
2. Mark sheet of 10 +2 (Non-Medical or PCM) (Original should be submitted when received for confirmation of admission).
3. Migration Certificate ( Original). It can be deposited later when received.
4. Character certificate.
5. Passport size colour photographs.Admission fee( INR 30,000/-) and first semester fee(INR 75,000). Fee may be paid in form of DD drawn in favor of Star Aviation Academy payable at New Delhi or in cash.

Class 12th (PCM) > 90%: 50% scholarship in first-year tuition fee.
Class 12th (PCM) 80%-90%: 20% scholarship in first-year tuition fee.
Class 12th (PCM) 70%-80%: 10% scholarship in first-year tuition fee.
10% Discount on the tuition fee for girl candidates only.
Children of Central Armed Paramilitary Forces and Indian Armed Forces will be granted a concession of 15% in tuition fee.

With a free seat, we can assume a seat with tuition fee waiver by the government. In private colleges, the scheme is dependent on their own norms and that varies accordingly.
