Prefer IIT Bombay anytime over State School of Design, when it comes to B.Des Industrial design. If you have a credible body of specimen work done by you, as is expected of the students of top-notch design schools, you might get placed right on the Campus itself.or you might get work orders as a freelancer. The second option, though paying less at the initial stage, keeps the prospects open for you to get enhanced earnings as the reputation grows. So, before your academic terms end, build an impressive spec file, and have soft copies ready. If there is any work worth claiming IPR on, do take care to get these registered, before circulation.
Placements are good as there is a high demand for designers in the market. During my time, a lot of service companies like TCS, Infosys etc. came to campus for placement. However, the trend has changed to Product companies now. The minimum package you can expect is around 8L per annum and the maximum goes up to 24L for a fresher.

State School of Design is one of the finest institutes in India for designing of transports. State has a renowned alumni base. It gives opportunities not only in the local environment but also internationally through its international exchange programme. It is one of the Institute of its own type with French designed. Institute has good corporate partners with top FMCG and transportation companies. Projects and Internship opportunities are good, students get exposure in institutional, technical, or financial, to collaborate in the management of various projects going on with their partners. NDYPDC, on the other hand, is among the top institutes focused mainly on innovation and design thinking the newer focus points in the current world. DYPDC has a good advantage of location in Pune, students have good opportunities in the nearby automobile manufacturing hub. Comparing the two institute's fees is high for each of the institutes. Both the institutes offer placement assistance to all the students. DYPDC holds memberships of many different industry associations and is very actively involved with some of them. DYPDC is a better option if we compare the ROI of the two. Base on exposure State School is a better option.
