Yes, finance job is better than HR job. Its simple mathematics, for around 50-60 employees, a company recruits one HR personnel. Whereas, a finance requirement is driven by business and not by employee numbers.

It is more than enough to prepare for SNAP. Difficulty level of SNAP changes each year as there is no fixed pattern of questions. Make sure you also prepare general knowledge questions as well. There is separate section for GK questions in SNA

It is not mandatory that you need well versed profile to do good in your PI. Just be yourself and justify your decisions you have taken in your life regarding your career, graduation or other activities you have mentioned in your CV.

There is no reservations in SIBM for wards of Def Retired person, and Def Retired person but there is reservation for same in SIMS . You can apply there if you require such reservation.
