Candidates may also appear directly for admission to the College under Management Quota. Admission to the BTech, and MBA courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the entrance exams such as TNEA, TANCET, etc. Admission to MTech is done directly based on the scores obtained in the previous qualifications. You can also get direct admission under Management Quota.

Tagore Engineering College conducts admission to the B.E./B.Tech courses through TNEA, merit of the qualifying examination for admission shall be based on marks obtained by the candidate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the Qualifying examination. In management quota applications are welcome directly. One must have minimum 45% marks of aggregate in Class 12 examination, cumulative for general category candidates and 40% for reserved categories. Having applied for admission, candidates are required to register for TNEA, under go counseling process, and select the college according to the cutoff marks.
