A score of 70% in MAT will get you accepted for MBA at Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research (TIMSR) as TIMSR accepts MAT score for Masters in Management Studies . However, the admission process is based on both admission and merit and the MAT percentage required for admission in TIMSR is not specified on the official website. A score of 70% in MAT may not be enough to get admission in TIMSR as the institute usually looks for a higher percentage in the entrance exams. It is recommended to score higher in MAT or other approved entrance exams like CAT, MAH MBA CET or GMAT to increase your chances of getting into TIMSR.

Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research (TIMSR) is highly rated and has received positive recognition. Although it may not generally be considered "well-established" in Mumbai, it is recognised for quality education, strong industry links and good placements. In the Times B-School survey 2020, the college was ranked 61st among the top 74 private institutes in India. Also, the institute has a good placement track record where students are recruited by companies in various fields. The average package offered is 6-8 LPA and the placement rate has shown improvement in recent years.
