To get admission to Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) for the B.E./B.Tech program, follow these steps:1. Eligibility Criteria: - Educational Qualification: You should have completed your Higher Secondary Examination (12th grade) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. - You should have secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in the qualifying examination.2. Entrance Exam: - The college is available to students through the process of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, or TNEA, based on marks secured in your 12th grade in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. - Alternatively, if you have appeared for any national-level exams like JEE Mains, then admission would also be provided based on rank acquired in these exams. 3. Application Process":- The candidate has to log in to the official website of the college or the TNEA portal to submit the application form. During the application process, you have to upload mark sheets, photographs, and identity proof.4. Merit List:Admission: Usually, admission will be strictly according to the merit list prepared and released by the college or even TNEA. Carefully check the merit list after the result publication.5. Counseling: When the merit list comes, you will be asked to attend counseling for selection, where you can exercise the option of the desired branch as per the vacancy position in it.6. Documents: Marks Sheet of class 10 and 12.- Transfer certificate. - Caste certificate, if applicable. - TNEA rank or JEE score card, if applicable.Always look for the latest update from the college and TNEA regarding the crucial dates and further guidelines.

The eligibility criteria for B.E. / B.Tech at Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) are as follows:Educational Qualification:The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (12th grade) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.The minimum aggregate marks in these subjects should be at least 50% (45% for candidates from the reserved categories).Age Limit:The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31 of the year of admission.Entrance Exam:Admission is primarily based on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process, which uses marks obtained in 12th grade (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).Alternatively, candidates who have appeared for the JEE Mains exam may also be considered for admission based on their score.Other Requirements:The candidate should not have any backlogs or other disqualifications in the required subjects.

The tuition fees for the B.E./B.Tech course in Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology are different as per the quota received in admissions.1.Government Quota: The annual charges are about INR 32,500 and there is an additional charge for other amenities and services.2.Management Quota: More fees will be INR 50,000 per annum.3.Hostel Fee: Those who want to stay on the campus have annual hostel fee ranging from INR 40,000 to INR 50,000 depending upon types of rooms and facilities.There are scholarships for eligible students, more particularly from the reserved categories or on merit, which will really help decrease the financial burden. The festivals are celebrated on the campus with pomp and show, sports meets conducted, and the annual college fest is conducted to exhibit talent. Besides the game of cricket, football and volleyballs; carrom and chess, besides indoor games, there exist music, films, and even event management clubs that tend to groom students in more creative and interpersonal skills.

Students can join the Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology in the following ways:Eligibility Criteria: For undergraduate programs of B.E./B.Tech, passed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as core subject; for the postgraduate course, candidates need to have a relevant bachelor's degree.Entrance Exam: Admissions are to a large extent based on the counseling process of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The marks obtained in the 10+2 board exams decide the admissions. Some of them may require entrance exams also, considering the course. Application Process Interested applicants can submit their application on the official TCET website or TNEA portal. Counseling and Selection: After short listing candidates are strictly according to merit, summoned for counseling. They guide through several academic as well as co-curricular activities. Many of the faculty members possess Master's or other advanced degree qualifications and work in their respective areas for research and development.However, some of the criticisms noted challenges, such as staff weaknesses in some areas that would contradict individualized attention to students.
