B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2023
3.2
2Placements3Infrastructure2Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
The college is average, but the best thing is it is a central university.
Placements: Almost 30%-40% of the students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered is 11 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Consultancy, Apollo Pharmacy, ONGC, NEEPCO, ICICI, Vodafone, Sun Pharma, Nestle and Axis Bank. Almost 90% of the students got an internship from our course in companies like IDBI Bank, ICICI Bank, TCS, HSBC Global Outsourcing, Stock Holding Corporation of India, Wipro BPO and Tata Motor Finance.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24x7 for all. There is a shortage of hostels for boys, and there is only a 60% chance of getting it. Else you can rent a house in the nearby area, i.e., Irongmara. Mess food is good, and it is not like other hostels. If you are vegetarian, separate food is made for you.
Faculty: Teachers are very arrogant, but they are knowledgeable and qualified. Teaching quality is average, so we have to depend on YouTube. The course curriculum is relevant and important for our future jobs. Some teachers are very good, like Sourish sir and Arijita ma'am.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have a great interest in programming, and I want to be a web designer. It would be better if they change the time duration of giving the arrear exam from 1-year to 1 month. If we got a backlog in a subject, it takes a year to clear it again. The best thing about the university is its campus life. There are a lot of events.

B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering - Batch of 2017

Mid range college with no placement.
Placements: No placement, there is no particular placement committee assigned for this process hence the jobs will be taken up by the students themselves who approach companies by themselves in order to get employed. Only a few companies visit the campus due to its remote location. All students have a mandatory subject assigned for the internship.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi at reasonable speed. Library with few good subject related books. Medical facilities are poor. Sports and games equipment are available at demand only. There is annual sports meet conducted in the university hence prior to that interested students are required to ask the sports committee for the equipment.
Faculty: Faculty members are not so good, but course quality is good. Teaching quality is medium. 40:8 student to teacher ratio. Yes, summer internship has an industry exposure. Teaching methods are standard and students are mainly required to study and focus themselves in order to pass the subjects for the assigned curriculum.
Other: Lots of events are held, recently a Sunburn event was held in 2018 in the campus attracting a massive crowd.

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2015

Other: The faculty members are the worst and no co-operation. Threatens students of putting backlogs on the exams. Plays with the students' career. Don't allow to celebrate tech-fest. If ask about it, they make them fails, threatens to destroy their career. Teaching is very bad. Partiality everywhere. Placement is near to negligible. Only 2-3 students are placed among around 44 students of the batch 2011-15. Before that no placements were there. The next batch placement is also same. Worst decision taken by me in my life about studying there. Politics everywhere. Will suggest not to go there.
