The placements here are not that good in this college, so please think before taking admission in any course, other than the IT, CSE, ECE or EEE.

This is a decent college for engineering.
Placements: There were no much opportunities for biotechnology student in terms of placements. There were very less core companies od biotech, how offers placements. But the companies like Infosys, do offer decent packages to biotechnology student who had experience in computer language like C, C+, and Java. Infosys offer jobs, and the average salary package offered ranges between 7 LPA - 8 LPA. Root analysis which delas with biotechnology data handling also offers a package of biotechnology student for around 7 LPA, there was no need for computer language, if students know C or C+ it will help them in the selection process.
Infrastructure: The hostel was the best part of UIET life, and the hostels were spread across the university and the accommodation was good. They were very affordable and the food in the mess was good and very homely. The Punjab University campus was very beautiful and provides a marvel of architecture. There were many facilities for sports and a gym. They had a tennis court, gymnasium hall, and football field. It provides a separate ground for cricket, a world-class hockey field, and also a swimming pool. Students can use any of their facilities by applying for a membership with a minimal fee of approximately 100. There were at least 4 gym rooms in every hostel of this university.
Faculty: Teachers were all experts in their felid but they also help students. The course and subjects were good, and it was all the traditional biotech syllabus but they will cover very aspects of biotechnology in the 4-year course. Semester exams were decent, and teachers test your skills while checking the answer sheet.

It is a satisfactory college with decent placements, good faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: The CSE and IT branches have the highest placement rates, followed by all the other branches. The top recruiters in the biotech branch are Cadbury, Bioxcel, IBI Biosolutions, DRDO, Larsen and Turbo and many more. The internship percentage is very high. The internships were provided in Nestle, Nectar Lifesciences, Lowenbrau Brewery, Johnsons and Johnsons etc.
Infrastructure: The campus has free Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, lecture halls, conference and seminar halls for all the branches. The food in the canteen and Nescafe are delightful. The sports and games facilities are top class with all the equipment, separate grounds and stadiums.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified and masters in their respective fields. They are a great help and a very resourceful guide in projects and make you industry-ready. The teaching quality is better than a lot of the higher-ranked institutes. The curriculum, which has been recently updated and revised for the biotech branch, is very useful and provides practical knowledge and skills. The course has everything you'll ever need in the field.
Other: The biotechnology engineering course is a less popular course according to a lot of people. Even the IITs offer this course. The field of biotech is growing at a very high pace. The phase of Corona has already taught us the importance of biotech in today's life. It is one of the fastest budding fields, which will show a lot of demand for biotech engineers in the near future. Not to forget, B.E./B.Tech biotechnology is very different from B.Sc. biotechnology. UIET has a student chapter of SBE- Society of Biological Engineers. UIET has annual fests for biotech students along with industrial and educational trips.

Quiet worth the money you spent.
Placements: This year, almost 70% of students got placed in various companies. The highest package was 16 lakhs, with an average of about 5-6 lakhs. Companies like ZS Associates, ProcDna, American Express, KPMG, and Deloitte were among the recruiters. Overall, the most placed students are from CSE, while the least are from Biotech.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good, but not everyone in the class gets a hostel; only a few students are accommodated based on their JEE rank. The hostels are quite good, with excellent Wi-Fi, library, and food. The surrounding environment is eco-friendly.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, except for a few. Most of the teachers are assistant professors. The course curriculum is not very relevant to the modern world. Minor exams are relatively easy, but major exams are tough. If you are caught cheating during major exams, you will be marked as failed.
Other: As you are in the main campus of the university, there are numerous college fests during the season.

Slightly dissatisfied because of the management.
Placements: The placements for CSE and IT are good, but we have never heard about the placements for others. If you want to get placed, then you have to learn coding or go for further studies, like M.E. Placements for CS are really excellent. This year, a student got placed with a package of 31 LPA, and in the previous year, the highest package was 41+ LPA.
Infrastructure: Due to covid, we are at home. We never saw our college. So, we don't know much about it. But we got to know that infrastructure is really amazing. The college atmosphere is good. Chandigarh is really amazing, and you will surely enjoy the city.
Faculty: Everything is okay, but you have to work hard on your own because the teachers are here to complete the syllabus. Even during online classes, they made the class very boring by shifting class timing. We can make good friends here. Students are judged based on the place they belong.
Other: Work hard if you want to get placed in your own field.

The college is pretty good after NITs, IITs and PEC.
Placements: Top roles like an analyst, associate and sales for startups are offered to the students. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft and Goldman Sachs visited our college for CSE course placements.
Infrastructure: Hostels provided by our college are average. Girls hostels are good. Food served in the boys' hostels is very bad, and students end up eating from Zomato. A medical dispensary is available at university. The sports ground is also available. Annual tournaments are also conducted but at the main university campus not at college.
Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant. The college conducts industrial visits to local research institutions like NIPER, ISSER, CSIO, etc., for one day due to which we get limited exposure.
