Firstly, the university doesn't offer B.Tech, it offers B.E. which is more good and unique. Some of the available specialisations are electronics and communication engineering, computer Science and engineering, information technology, etc. Admission to the full-time BE courses is done based on merit in JEE Main. The shortlisted students are called for JAC counselling. Candidates seeking admission must check out the eligibility criteria. Moreover, the institute also provides lateral entry to the BE courses.

The aspirants who have passed Class 12 in Science stream from a recognised board can apply. Additionally, candidates who are Class 10 pass followed by Diploma with Mathematics are also eligible to apply.Furthermore, the aspirants with a valid score of JEE Main can apply. Moreover, the candidates shortlisted based on exam score have to further take part in JAC counselling. During counselling, the seats are allotted to the eligible students.

No, UIET Chandigarh does not offer direct admission. Candidates can join BE programme based on JEE Main score followed by JAC Counselling. The selection for ME/ M.Tech is based on GATE scores. Non-GATE aspirants can get admission provided there are vacant seats. Besides, admission to PhD programmes is based on GATE/ UGC-NET scores.
