B.Tech. in Petro Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2023
Offered by University Institute of Technology, Bhopal - Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalay
3.6

It has a good infrastructure. Students cannot rely on teachers and need to work hard on their own.
Placements: Only a few students got placed from our course during on-campus placements from our college. The petrochemical department needs to improve a lot in this aspect. IOCL is one of the companies which recruits students from here. Students will primarily need to work hard on their own to get placements.
Infrastructure: Laboratories are average, and they need to have many types of equipment. Classrooms are really good, and the library has a bit shortage of books for the petrochemical department. The infrastructure of the hostel is excellent, and the quality of the food served is not satisfactory. Medical facilities are average.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are knowledgeable as well as qualified here. The teaching quality of the teachers of some subjects is below average, but for some subjects, it is good. Faculty members need to be improved. The course curriculum is definitely relevant, and it makes students industry-ready if they pay well attention.
Other: I have chosen this course because it has a low cut off.

I am satisfied with teachers, infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Almost 20-25% of the students got placed. In our course, the lowest salary package offered is 3.2 LPA, the highest salary package offered is 3.8 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. TCS and Infosys are the top recruiting companies in our college. An assistant engineer is a top role offered to the students. Almost 100% of the students got an internship in companies like BORL, HPCL, IOCL, BPCL, ONGC and other refineries.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms and library are available in our college. Labs have all the related equipment, and the collection of books in the library is relevant to our needs. Quality of food is good, and the food is tasty. Sports and games and medical facilities are also available here.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching skills are good. Communication of teachers with students is well, and they also clear each doubt and query of students. The syllabus and examination pattern is helpful for students to improve their knowledge.

It is a best state government college.
Placements: Few students get placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was 13 LPA and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. CS and IT students get paced.
Infrastructure: All the students don't get the hostel. Our college has 3 boys' hostels. Its building is good but the other facilities are not good. Good food, filter water, and Wi-Fi facilities were not provided in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were good. All the teachers put their efforts to teach students. Lab classes were conducted regularly. All the labs and classrooms were well maintained with a good environment to study. Students have to maintain 75% of attendance.
Other: I am inter in mechanical engineering because I want to clear the GATE exam .

BEST ROI, average faculty members, decent placements, good labs and classrooms.
Placements: In our college, almost 70% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 3.1 LPA and the average salary package offered was 5–6 LPA. In terms of overall college performance, the highest salary package offered was 22 LPPA and the average salary package offered was 6 LPA. Most recruitment is from TCS Digital, Infosys and Persistent. Internships are approximately 10% on-campus. SDE are the top roles.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is just fine, good sports complex with indoor basketball and badminton courts. Wi-Fi doesn't work in classrooms. Labs are good. Library is large and in good condition, but laptops and other copies are not allowed. Library is open only for 6 hours a day and 5 times a week. Hostels are good and mess food is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but teaching quality is not good. Practical-based knowledge is less as labs are decent but due to teaching there is no proper utilisation of assets. Curriculum is so unmannered and not according to academic calendar. Semester exams are decent and pass percentage is around 80%.
Other: The best thing about this college is its return on investment ( ROI). As there are no fees required to be paid to college, we get decent placement of an average of 5–6 LPA. For me, if we talk about the CS, IT and ECE branches, it represents the best ROI in the whole state. Practical knowledge should be included more rather than passive teaching on blackboards. This improvement is needed. Getting scholarships is pretty easy. Almost 80% of students got scholarships. Connectivity is great as Bhopal is the state capital of Madhya Pradesh. A lot of events were hosted in our college like TEDx, RGpV, Mahasangram (sports fest), convolution, etc. Extracurricular activities include NSS and NCC clubs, dance, drama and different types of cultural societies for different activities.

I am satisfied with the ROI of UIT RGPV.
Placements: Placements in our college are average. The previous batch had outstanding placements. Placements are good for CSE, EC, IT and EX only. Civil and mechanical branches have a great placement, though. Companies like TCS, Capgemini and startups visit over the campus. The salary packages offered are generally very less.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average as it is a government college. Quality of the food served in the mess is not good, and the food served in the canteen is far better to eat. Sports and games facilities are plenty. From football to tennis every sport is played, and it is the best part of the campus. Labs in most departments are not functional.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, but the quality is not good as teachers are not much concerned about studies. There are no attendance criteria, and teacher's too are not bothered at all. So, most students have to prepare by themselves by doing self - study or hiring tutors.
Other: The fee charged by UIT is Rs. 32,000 per year, including bus fees. Therefore this college is affordable than any private college/university. The campus crowd is fine, and ragging is not allowed on campus.
