To get into the B.Sc. Nursing course, VMMC has a fixed NEET-UG qualifying percentage admission standard for admission process. Cutoff can vary between 500 and 550 marks for general category candidates depending on the number of seats and the exam difficulty of that year. Backward castes normally fall under OBC, SC, ST which count around 400-450 marks on average. After the fact of rather strict college admission, it is not a secret that the number of seats for students and the college's popularity prevent many prospective students from getting in. Please refer to the first NEET counseling statistics and category-wise changing trends of VMMC.

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College accepts NEET UG score for the admission to MBBS courses. For getting admission at VMMC, there are no specific percentiles needed in 10th and 12th exams by the candidates. As per the eligibility criteria, candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology & English shall be eligible for appearing in NEET-UG to get into VMMC. However, till last year, only those candidates who studied these as main or core subjects were considered eligible for NEET. Moreover, earlier, students who completed Class 12 or its equivalent from Open Schools or as private candidates were prohibited from taking the NEET exam; however, NMC has eliminated this restriction this year. NEET 2024 will now be open to candidates who passed their Class 12 Board exam from Open Schools. Students from open schools approved by the State Boards and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) can now sit the NEET exam, according to a ruling by the Indian Supreme Court.
