The latest cutoff information for LL.B. at VELS University isn't explicitly stated, but I can provide you with some valuable insights. For LL.B. admissions at VELS University, the eligibility criteria include a pass in a UG/PG degree from a recognized university, and the age limit is as per the norms of the Bar Council of India (BCI).¹ The selection process for LL.B. is based on merit, considering the Vels Entrance Examination score and the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination. While I couldn't find the exact cutoff marks for LL.B. at VELS University, I recommend checking the official university website or contacting their admissions office directly for the most up-to-date information.

VELS School of Law is comparatively considered to be Tier 2 in terms of Indian legal education. The law school offers many courses, such as B.A. It only caters to LL.B (Hons), B.B.A. LL.B (Hons) and LL.M degrees and cannot be compared with premier institutes, not that the NLUs or for that matter, other major institutions of repute, like the law faculty of Delhi University or even IIT Kharagpur. The Bar Council of India has recognized the college. Pragmatic training is given through moot courts besides legal aid clinics. However, placement records as well as overall visibility in the job market of lawyers are not so competitive in comparison to Tier 1 colleges. Thus, although VELS School of Law imparts some really good legal education, it squarely falls in Tier 2 due to its overall ranking and performance compared with that of India's top law schools.
