Glad to be a student at Vidyasagar College for Women. Absolutely satisfied with the amazing faculty.
Placements: The placement opportunity is not so great. In VCFW, most of the students in our particular course opted for higher education, like M.Sc. and Ph.D. However, the scope for internships and placements after passing out of college is very low. Many seniors from the mathematics department passed out without getting any job offers. The average package offered to others is 120,000 annually.
Infrastructure: The campus has all the necessary and required facilities. Well-maintained library (common library and department library), well-maintained computer, and mathematics lab with a good Wi-Fi connection reaching throughout the campus. Air-conditioned classrooms with digital boards as well as whiteboards for interactive sessions. Rooms in the college hostel are also provided to desired students.
Faculty: Vidyasagar College for Women is under Calcutta University, so our college closely follows the syllabus and curriculum set by Calcutta University for this course. Professors regularly conduct internal exams for practice, and doubt-clearing sessions are also organized. Professors are highly qualified and helpful. They provide their assistance and guidance whenever needed. Students are also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities organized at our college.
Other: Every year, freshmen are organized by the student union of VCFW; other than that, every department organizes their individual freshmen in their respective departments to welcome the new batch of students. Seminars, talks by visitors, workshops, and conferences are often conducted in VCFW. Annual festivals and annual sports are organized at the end of each academic year.

Our college is good in all aspects.
Placements: Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 60,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Tata Medical Consultancy, Wipro, Apollo, and Brainware University. Almost 60% of students got internships. Top roles offered are medical consultant, medical report analyst, subject matter expert, and teacher.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. Labs are well-maintained. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. Classrooms are well-maintained. The hostel facilities are good. The food served in the canteen is good and affordable. They provide medical facilities. They provide sports and games facilities.
Faculty: All faculty members are helpful. They provide all the study materials. The course curriculum is relevant to the medical and education industry. It provides the proper knowledge to work in those industries. Regular study will resolve the difficulty of exams. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: The best thing about the course is it provides different opportunities in different fields. The mark distribution system should be improved. The college conducts fests, competitions, and cultural events. They encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities through various programs. Scholarships are available for meritorious students.
