B.E. in Mining Engineering - Batch of 2020

Absolutely it is the worst college.
Placements: Not even a single company visits this college to hire you. There are no placements at all, and this college just makes false promises at the time of admission and do fake advertisement regarding placements. I suggest you never get admission to this college. Otherwise, you will ruin your future. I had completed BE in mining engineering from this college. There are no placements at all for us. Even students of our senior batches never get placed through campus placements.
Infrastructure: Our college has the worst infrastructure I have ever seen. It has a poor library and a pathetic and unhygienic canteen facility. Labs are available just for namesake, and they don't have proper equipment and materials. Everything is outdated in labs.
Faculty: There are very bad faculty members I have ever seen. They don't teach and just come to entertain. In our stream (mining engineering), there is not even a single highly experienced professor, and they don't have any knowledge about the subject. Even the HOD is bad and didn't have any knowledge about mining. He just threatened students to get money from them.
Other: I suggest every student who wants to get admission in this college, don't join here if you really want your career to be prosperous. Our college just wants your money. I suggest you to do research about every college properly before taking admission and don't believe in fake advertisements.

It does not have good faculty members.
Placements: The college does not provide placements. There is no chance to get a job at the college. Management is not good.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide Wi-Fi facility and labs. It provides the best library and the best classrooms. It has a good canteen. The college does not provide hostel facility, and there is no mess. Medical facilities available in our college are the best. It has the best sports ground in Bhopal. It provides games like cricket, football, table tennis, hockey, volleyball, racket, carrom, ludo, horse riding, running, kho kho, kabaddi and tug of war rope.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it doesn't make the students industry-ready. Management creates problems, which are difficult to handle. In the year 2012 to 2017, it has the best faculty members, but now they are waste.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like mining engineering course.

The college is average. Students should decide on their own to join this college.
Placements: The placements were not there for the first batch of 2014-2018 (mining engineering). Sometimes, the placements are good for different branches. The pharmacy of VNS college is too good. Many students who studied in VNS were not getting a good job to survive. I request all the students who want to take admission in VNS, to prepare on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and well-maintained. The campus is clean. The garden is also good. We have separate buildings for different courses. Different seminar halls and auditorium are present for different programs and cultural programmes. We have more than 700 computers in all the labs.
Faculty: We have sufficient faculty for different courses. The courses offered are engineering, pharmacy, MBA, DCA, etc. For engineering, approximately 45 faculty members and also many guests lecturers are provided to clear our doubts. In the same way, the college arranges different faculty for all the courses.

Placements are very good in this college.
Placements: Its confirm that the placements are conducted. Its depend on students result. Many companies visit our college and select many students to their requirement and even recruited in my branch 'mining'. Many programmes arranged by the college like national coalfield.
Infrastructure: This college also encourages physical education. Hence all kind of sports are available. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The library is maintained very well. The computer labs are well-maintained, and first aid facilities are also available within the campus.
The canteen is not proper, but there is good food in the canteen. The classrooms are better.
Faculty: The faculty are good. The teachers also help the students, and their problems are solved by the teachers clearly by giving examples. The student respects them too, but few faculty members are not good. The teaching technique is good. The teachers advise well. The college represents many students for workshop.
Other: The government gives the scholarships.

Review of VNS Group of Institutions.
Placements: Placements in mining stream of our college are not good. Our first passing out batch of 2018 was hoping a lot from college, but none of the companies visited the campus for placement. During the time of admission, they said on the pamphlet that top 10 students would get 100% placement, but it totally failed.
Infrastructure: Classrooms facility was good, and there is a lot of space for students to sit comfortably. Library facility was moderate as it contains mostly Indian writer books which are enough for university exams but not for competitive exams. Medical facilities were very good because of two streams, pharmacy and homoeopathic hospitals related to medicine are available. Wi-Fi is available but not for students, and it is only for faculty members. Lab for mining is not possible because a gas chamber is available, but it is not verified by DGMS so it does not provide lamp handling certificate, but it provides a lot of knowledge and practice to clear the Gas testing exam.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not enough in number and experience. Most of the teachers are qualified with B.E only and joined as a faculty member. But the good thing is that they are laborious and clear our dought in next day if he did not know it. We get the industry exposure from college and do a mini-training some day before, and at each semester after 1st year, we have a one-day industrial visit.
Other: Two days seminars were organised in 2017 on the topic mining business prospect in 2030. Every year annual event is celebrated at the end of march in which game, singing, dancing, drama, etc., are conducted. Competitions are held, and winners of these events get a chance to win EPA- Excillance Personality Award. Scholarship facility is very good, and students get all the support to fill the form from the appointed faculty member.
