Regular study for Diploma engineering may be a problem for you. You better try for AMIE. Clear Section A and Section B. After clearing all the papers of Section B, you will be recognized as a Graduate Engineer i.e equivalent to B.Tech. Best wishes.

The process of admission starts with giving exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, IIFT and SNAP. Make sure, you fill each form before it's last date. Then, make a list of the colleges which you are going to get through each exam. After that, select colleges in which you want to do MBA . Start filling it's form, as well. You need to all this before giving CAT, MAT, XAT etc. For some colleges the date of filling may be after the CAT exam. Each college has its own Cut off .Make sure you check that as well. There may be a few more colleges that wait till the CAT result. So, it all depends on college to College. After the result declaration, colleges will start floating you mails regarding your GD and PI session. If you don't receive any mail then maybe you don't clarify their cut off .
At last, you will receive a mail regarding you have been selected or not.
So, all the best. Prepare a list of colleges, their cut offs, filling dates. You will get it all from the website. Make sure you start doing all this a month before your CAT exam.

All the part time and correspondence B.Tech/ B.E. Courses have been declared invalid by government. No educational institute or government. Organisation consider such candidates for higher degree or job. Better option for you is to look for some reputed university like LPU, SRM, VIT, etc. And go for a valid degree from there after taking study leave from your work place. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements. Some even offer scholarships to students.
