The admissions process for the graduate programmes offered by Women's Christian College (WCC) in Chennai is distinct. These programmes include MA, MSc, and MCom. In contrast to many other institutions, WCC does not base admissions decisions on test results. Rather, all candidates are chosen on the basis of merit, with special attention paid to the scores they received on their most recent qualifying exam. This inclusive approach aligns with the methodology used for undergraduate programmes, which fall into the Self-financed (SF) and General Arts (GA) categories. The college makes sure that the admissions process reflects this commitment to academic achievement.Prospective postgraduate students at Women's Christian College (WCC) can anticipate that their eligibility will be based on their academic performance. This ensures that everyone has an equitable and convenient chance to become a part of the diverse and stimulating academic community at WCC.

There are two ways to facilitate B.Com. admissions in Uttar Pradesh for 2023: Direct Admissions and Admission Test/Entrance Exam. The candidate's intermediate exam results are used to determine direct admissions. Individual cutoff criteria are set by B.Com colleges, and candidates who meet or exceed them are eligible. To complete admission, successful candidates must appear for document verification at the relevant college. This streamlined procedure places a strong emphasis on academic standing as a crucial factor in determining admission to B.Com. programmes throughout Uttar Pradesh.A good CUET 2023 score (500–600) guarantees admission to Indian colleges of higher learning. A candidate's chances of being admitted to CUET 2024 are improved if their score is greater than 600. A score of more than 600 is especially excellent since it demonstrates strong academic standing for admission to prestigious universities as a B.Com student.

According to current admission patterns, getting into Women's Christian College (WCC), Chennai for undergraduate programs with merely a 70% in class 12th is quite challenging.Applications for WCC admissions far outweigh the available seats, making it a very competitive process. The WCC 12th percentage cutoffs for general degree programs, including as BA, BSc, and BCom, have typically been 85% or above.Even applicants with scores of 80% or higher were previously unable to secure a spot on the WCC merit list. For UG admissions, WCC now takes the candidate's CUET score into account in addition to their 12th grade scores. Therefore, even though WCC requires a minimum of 60% for 12th grade eligibility, in practice, you need a substantially higher percentage—roughly 85% or more in 12th boards—to be considered for undergraduate admission at WCC at this time.

Ethiraj College for Women has a dedicated job placement cell and internships are an important focus for them, especially for students pursuing programs in computer science, information technology, commerce and management.Various leading recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant and HDFC Bank visit Ethiraj College campus every year to recruit students for these professional courses. On the other hand, Women's Christian College, Chennai focuses mainly on undergraduate courses in pure arts and sciences such as physics, chemistry, botany and economics rather than professional degrees. Therefore, large-scale campus placement through large recruiting firms may not be the primary focus or activity of Women's Christian College. In conclusion, Ethiraj College appears to have a clear advantage when it comes to campus placement and providing employment opportunities to graduates of professional courses. The Women's Christian College focuses more on arts-based learning than corporate internships.

It is clear that the cost varies depending on the course when comparing the fees for WCC Chennai and Ethiraj College for Women. WCC charges INR 42,580 for first-year fees for B.Sc., while Ethiraj College for Women lists INR 30,168 as the total cost for B.Sc. (Phys). However, the BBA (INR 76,050) and B.Com (INR 79,650) fees at WCC are significantly greater than the B.Com fees at Ethiraj. The total cost of Ethiraj's MBA program is INR 2.33 lakh, which is more than INR 65,930 M.Sc. fee from WCC. In conclusion, WCC seems to have a combination of lower and higher fees compared to Ethiraj, even though specifics for some of the courses at Ethiraj are unclear. A few examples of the variables that could affect the comparison are the faculty, facilities, and reputation of the respective institutions. When making decisions about their education, prospective students should take these factors into account in addition to the financial ones.
