Faculty attrition was abig problem few years ago but this problem is being sorted out. Yes, even if you stay in bangalore, You are required to stay in the hostel, but can go over to your house on weekends.

Its done based on their academics and GD-PI rounds. No weightage or preference is given to the exams. Its all on the performance of the applicant.

Mat percentile is generally mentioned in the scorecard. You cant calculate percentile but only percentage. If its more than 70%tile then you are eligible for admissions.

The shortlist will come out around first week of april. Dont be too bogged down by the fact that PI didnt go well. They basically look for your personality. And a bit of knowledge. So keep your fingers crossed. Good luck.
