Industry exposure in XIME: Industry visits are arranged for the students at regular intervals. The industries usually visited include Hinduja Foundries, Emphasis, Lennox, Flextronics, and Hyundai Motors. Besides this, as part of the Live Project, students had the opportunity to visit various companies like Airtel, OBO Better man, Apollo, BHEL, IndusInd Bank, Stanadyne, etc. LIVE Field Project for Students:
XIME has launched this initiative to enable the students to have exposure to industry by visiting the companies around 2-3 times each. Launched in Jan 2018, this provides our students with continuous practical experience on the one hand and, on the other hand, serves to create a positive impression/impact among companies in regard to our students' capabilities. Under this model, our students grasp the theory in the classrooms inside the campus, and put it into practise by putting it into action inside an actual company. This is in addition to the summer internship project. Our students have taken up live projects with companies like Flextronics, OBO Better man, IndusInd Bank, BHEL, Apollo tyres, Airtel, Stanadyne, Intellect, Emphasis, etc. Industry Connect Meetings:

XIME organised a HR Meet in December 2017 for manufacturing companies in and around Oragadam with a view to getting to know the neighbourhood and creating a platform for HR professionals in the region to network. 35 HR Leaders from 20 Oragadam-based companies visited the campus, including Nissan, Allison, Flextronics, Nippon Paint, Danfoss, Delphi, Unipress, Essar, Hyundai Steel, Momentive, and Tempel Steel. XIME organized another meeting of HR Leaders in Oragadam/Sriperumbudur Industrial Area in March 2018. Oragadam. 41 HR Leaders from 29 companies, including large/multinational companies like Nissan, Tempel Steel, Yamaha, BMW, Sanmina, Flextronics, Delphi, Essar, Hyundai, Dana Corporation, Toyotsu, Kasai-India, Apollo Tyres, Seoyon E-Hwa, etc. , visited our campus.

In the XIME hostel, there were 2 students in a room. Rooms are provided with ACs, and the rooms are cleaned by housekeeping staff once a week. The boys' and girls' hostels are out of bounds for the opposite genders. The curfew time was 9.00 PM

In the XIME hostel, there were 2 students in a room. Rooms are provided with ACs, and the rooms are cleaned by housekeeping staff once a week. The boys' and girls' hostels are out of bounds for the opposite genders. The curfew time was 9.00 PM. There are common room where you can watch TV. You'll have a water cooler on every floor of the hostel, and Wi-Fi will be provided. Regarding food, you'll have a mix of northern and southern Indian food. Non-veg food was present. The menu can be changed by a mess committee consisting of students from different backgrounds and faculty members. You have a small food counter where you can get ice cream, biscuits, and some snacks. With respect to the diversity of the students, it has a good mix of students from different parts of the country and has a more or less equal gender ratio too. The experience will be depending on person to person, and it's up to you to make good use of the available resources.
