Hi Lijo,
Basis DTE admission procedure of 2016, there is no separate procedure conducted for minorities, only additional documents pertaining to your minority category are to be submitted at the time of registering with the ARC(Authorized Registration Centre).
For Roman Catholic Minorities at XIMR:
You are to submit your Proforma O at the ARC and wait for your allotment in the CAP(Common Admission Procedure) rounds.
Once you are allotted a seat in the college you have to secure your admission through any of the Freeze/Float option and by paying the initial DTE fee.
When all the CAP rounds are over you will asked to confirm your final allotment at the ARC and will receive a letter of the same.
This letter has to be submitted to the college allotted(XIMR in this case) along with the standard required documents, and a Minority Affidavit (in prescribed format). The first installment of your fees will be paid at this time as well, however there is a provision to apply for minority Scholarship later in your semester as well.
Hope this helps!

Hi Janice,
I'd say your chances are pretty high on the basis last year's cut-off. I know people who got a percentile as low as 89. However, please note that cut-offs this year may differ on the basis the number of applicants with higher percentiles. Additionally, minority quota and ILS applicants have to go through an interview round as well.
So do apply.
Wish you all the best.
Hope this helps.

Hi Kumar,
I can only speak about your chances at 96.09 percentile for MMS at XIMR. You have a good chance in the open category on the basis of last year's cutoff available on the website. However, cut-offs are basis the number of applicants at high percentiles.
Additionally, basis my understanding, XIMR is a niche, focused, primarily academic-driven institution, whereas, MET is a wholistic developer of managerial skills and indulges in a practical implementation of knowledge. Their batch size is larger than XIMR. This aids targeted knowledge to students of XIMR.
XIMR also provides access to many distinguished faculties from XLRI. JBIMS, etc. This helps their main offering of quality education to leaders of tomorrow. Read up on both colleges thoroughly before making a decision.
Hope this helps.

Hi Raviprakash,
Your chances are pretty good of getting into XIMR basis last year's cutoffs. Although this year's cutoff will depend on the number of applicants of higher percentiles. You can apply through CAP, ILS and Minority Quota(if applicable).
The college has had notable companies recruit in the past and still do which is listed on the website. This year placements picked up slower than usual due to demonetization and early budget announcements, however, they are on full swing. Although, please also note that at XIMR academics takes precedence over placements and effort is taken proportionately to provide students with the best of the same.
Hope this helps!

Hi Naman,
XIMR is a premier Jesuit institute situated in the St. Xavier's College campus in Mumbai. It primarily focuses on learning and development of students through exposure to great learning material created within the country and globally. It has a distinguished set of faculty, both visiting and core. It has a functional computer lab, a well-equipped library, access to Xavier's gymkhana and canteen. If all this is what you are looking for then XIMR is the place to be.
MMS in any college in Bombay is a two-year's course. At the end of it you'll have a university-approved master's degree which is equivalent to an MBA, so it does largely seem worth the time.
Regarding placements, we witnessed a slow pickup than normal due to demonetization and early release of the budget, however, things picked up soon enough and placements are on with packages averaging Rs 4-5 lakhs per annum basis feedback from our seniors.
Hope this helps!

Chances seem low, you would need to contact the admission committee if they are accepting under minority quota for this year as it varies every year.
All the best.

None of the college above-mentioned guarantees 100% placements, although NL Dalmia has good placements than all of above, you can go for Sydenham and KJ Somaiya and JBIMS for 100% placements.

Unfortunately, it is mandatory for an applicant to have appeared for MHCET. Other exam scores are only considered along with CET scores in special categories. Hence as per last year's rules, you are not eligible to apply without CET scores.
Since the rules are under review every year and may change you can always call up the college closer to admission time and confirm.
Hope this helps.
