Hi Priya,
I'll start with the last question first. MBA in finance is a good option as the world is increasingly relying on data analysis and financial cost-related problem solving. However, you need to be sure of what is it that you want to achieve through an MBA/MMS in Finance.
The placement scenario in XIMR is good enough. For finance, the average package is around 4.5-5 lakhs. We have had the package touching 10 lakhs as well. So rest assured - if you work hard, you will get good results. Companies that hire from XIMR include HDFC.
Hope this answer is helpful.

The CAP round is the centralized admission procedure round. Here, the state of Maharashtra allocates a college to you based on your MH-CET scores. You will be given a choice of colleges. Once you select the ones you want, the state and the DTE will decide which college is good for you, based on your marks.

Hi Anamika,
There is a chance for you to get in through the counselling round. The chances are low, but they are there.

There is no cut-offs for minority as such. There are 31 seats, and they are given on the basis of interviews and MH-CET merit. All the best!

Hi again,
As I wrote in my previous reply, I can't really say a lot about Chetana - I recommend you ask a campus rep from that college. Both are good. XIMR's MMS Finance course is good enough, but I won't call it one of the best. XIMR, however,
