Hello Aishwarya.
I'm afraid I really don't know about how Chetana is. I know that both are good. I would rather go to the college and inquire personally. Look for information on the internet, but don't rely completely on them (quite often, fake info is published for promotions). At XIMR, the MMS course for finance is good enough. But I won't call it one of the best. NL Dalmia is very good for finance I know. One positive thing about XIMR is it focuses a lot on your learning and the finance professors are very strong with their understanding of the subject. Also, they are always available to answer doubts.
Hope this info helps.

What are my chances? I have scored in CMAT: 88 percentile and MH-CET: 66.56. I fall under minority category.

Hi Supriya,
I can't really comment on the chances. We have had lower MH-CET scores getting admissions in the past. But everything depends on the scores the other Roman Catholic students that enroll for admission. However, you can try through your CMAT scores as well. The chances are good enough. So try and call up the college, and they will schedule an interview with you. There have been instances where a Catholic minority student with 65 percentile has secured admission. However, there is no cut offs for minority as such. The allocation of minority seats depend on interviews and MH-CET merit scores (as in what are the scores of others who have applied through minority.)

Hi Syed,
If they have said so, they will call you. They are probably waiting for the DTE to release the list of colleges for students seeking admission. Since the college is under the University of Mumbai, it has to wait for the admission process to start before it can commit anything. With regards to admission chances, things depend on your marks and also on how other applicants have scored. The general cut-offs is around 95 percentile. The institute quotas are lower than that, but not too low. I recommend you call them once the DTE starts the admission procedure/CAP round.

Hi Pankaj,
I have to say I really can't say about this. I have been in a similar situation, but here is what I can tell you. If you have a 5-year work experience, then companies prefer you more and focus less on your academics. I don't think your pre-MBA grads will be a problem. What will matter more is your level of understanding in the MMS course. So I think you should not be worrying about that too much.

Hi Suresh,
The placements are good and are becoming stronger. The average package is around 4-5 lakhs. It goes as high as around 8 lakhs for Finance and Marketing. For HR, the average is around 3-4 lakhs.

Hi Suhana,
The overall yearly fees is Rs. 2.4 lakhs. However, there are no hostel services as such. The average package for experienced people will probably be higher. However, there is no specific guarantee as a lot will depend on what experience you have. The average package in general is around 4-5 lakhs. The highest we had this year was Rs. 10 lakhs and the lowest was Rs. 3 lakhs.

Hi,
Actually, XIMR is not really keen on industrial visits. This year, we didn't have any. So the chances of an industrial visit are low.

Hi,
Yes, there is certainly a chance. However, the minority quota is only for Catholics and not all Christians. Also, a lot depends on the MH-CET scores of other Catholic students. There is no cut offs for minority as such. Minority seats are allotted through interviews and your MH-CET scores (as in what are the scores of others who have applied through minority). However, people with around 75 percentile do stand a strong chance in securing admission. All the best!
