Rural management helps you to go in development sector and work on ground level (mostly rural areas). RM in XISS will help you have exposure of rural areas through camps ( 4 camps in two years) and institutional visits. It facilitates you with knowledge of rural areas and experience the life and difficulties people faces there. Since XISS have reservations, most of the students are from nearby states only. Campus is not so big. RM have good record of good placement with average package of Rs 4-5 lakhs per annum.

HRM is kind of a four wall job for which you will be paid high but if you think you want to do something for the society as well then go for RM because at XISS, RM department sensitizes the student to work for the marginalised. So yes, the package is higher with HRM.
