I would like to thank everyone for providing me this opportunity for answering this question. The same question puzzled & boggled my mind when I was about to enter Xavier's Labor Relations Institute. I directly asked this question in the classroom to the dean Dr. Asish K. Pani he smiled & said we do not provide any placements to the candidates, the organization comes & hire candidates. XLRI is the oldest B-School in the country which was established in 1949.
As per the placement report-
1) There was a 17% increase in the number of new roles offered to students as compared to other previous year.
2) The average salary offered was Rs 19.21lakhs. The marketing students bagged an average salary of Rs 21.8 lakhs, while operations domain was Rs 26.5 lac per annum. The top notch organizations recruit the candidates for India & abroad as per there skill & expertise.

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and XLRI, Jamshedpur are two top class premier B-School in the country. They are in the same league as they both have the ability and tie-up with many big firms who are recruiting their students for placement. Also their top class faculty and infrastructure enable the student to excel in the field of management.
So you can go in any one of these fields. To get into XLRI you are to qualify XAT and after that GD-PI and to qualify for admission to FMS you have to score good in CAT after that you have to appear in GD-PI for the same. Both are top class and no doubt you can choose any one you go. FMS has relative small batch size as compared to XLRI.Therefore it is easier to excel in FMS as compared to XLRI with large batch size .
Hope this information helps.

Hi Sandesh,
Most of the exams take place during the month of November and December. But there are a few exams like MAT and GMAT which are conducted more than once in a year.
