Admissions for the BE/B.Tech courses offered through Younus College of Engineering and Technology are open to any student who qualifies for the KEAM exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala. Merit admissions for government and merit quota seats are determined through this entrance exam. The eligibility requirement is as follows: Applicants must have finished their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects as compulsory subjects and achieved a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in PCM (40% for any other reserved category). However, qualified students applying under the management quota need not necessarily have KEAM scores. However, they must have completed 10+2 with the required marks in PCM for basic eligibility. Further, it is possible for Diploma holders to obtain lateral entry to the second year of the programme through a separate entrance test. The merit quota admissions are opted through the centralized counseling module conducted by KEAM, while the management quota admissions are dealt with directly by the college. Finally, the selection of candidates is based on the KEAM rank and the eligibility for that rank.
