The Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme facilitates the admission of foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) into undergraduate engineering programs at premier Indian institutions like NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. Eligibility Criteria: 1. Academic Qualifications: Applicants must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology. A minimum aggregate score of 75% (or a CGPA of 7.5 on a 10-point scale) is required in the qualifying examination.    2. Standardized Test Scores: From the academic year 2024-2025 onwards, admissions under the DASA scheme are based on ranks/merit secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).    3. Residential Requirement: All foreign nationals studying in any country, including India, as well as PIOs, OCIs, and NRIs who fulfill the prescribed admission criteria, are eligible. For Indian nationals, the criteria include at least two years of education, inclusive of 11th and 12th grades or equivalent, in a foreign country during the last eight years, and passing the qualifying examination from abroad.     Regarding IGCSE Qualifications: The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is typically considered equivalent to the 10th grade in the Indian education system. To meet the DASA eligibility criteria, applicants should have completed education equivalent to the 12th grade (A-Levels) with the required subjects and minimum scores. 

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme is under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India for admission to Undergraduate programmes in Engineering/Architecture/ Planning for the Academic offered by the National Institute of Technology Calicut. The registration for DASA UG exam will commence from next year in July. Admissions through DASA mode for 2025-26 will be through SAT scores. The students are admitted to colleges based on their total SAT score. All applicants will be ranked based on their total marks in SAT exam. DASA 2025 registration is expected to begin in June 2025 on the official DASA 2025 website, dasanit.org. As per NTA - The governing authority for DASA UG admissions - announced JEE Main 2025 ranks will be the basis for admission. In contrast to Indian candidates who must register for JoSAA counselling 2025, all foreign citizens must apply for JEE Main 2025 and, upon the announcement of the JEE Main ranks, must register for DASA counselling in order to be considered for admission.Let's see who can apply for DASA UG admission:Foreign nationals studying in any country, including India, as well as Indian nationals studying abroad who meet the specified admission criteria, are eligible to apply for the DASA UG program.For Indian nationals, the criteria are:Completion of at least two years of education, including 11th and 12th grades or equivalent, in a foreign country within the last 8 years.Successful completion of the qualifying examination from abroad.Eligible candidates must also have a JEE Main rank and should have completed Mathematics, Physics, and one additional subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology in their 12th grade. Additionally, they must have secured at least 75% marks (or a CGPA of 7.5 out of 10) in aggregate, as per their respective boards.

After Round 3 was posted on DASA's official website, the NIT Kurukshetra counselling procedure 2022 came to an end. It is mandatory for candidates to complete an online application form on the DASA online admission portal for the forthcoming NIT Kurukshetra admission session 2025. Candidates can apply for the DASA UG counselling process by doing the following step:Candidates who meet the requirements for DASA counselling must register in order to take part in the admissions process. Below is a description of the DASA counselling registration procedure:The candidate's date of birth and JEE Main 2025 application number must be entered in order to register. On the email address linked to JEE Main, a web link will be mailed to finish the registration procedure. JEE application number will be the user name of the candidates.In the registration form, candidates have to fill in the required details. Applicants are required to upload the following:the latest passport size photograph in JPG format (size ~ 3.5cmx3.5cm, file size < 100kB).Scanned signature of applicant in JPG format (file size<100 kB). Submit the completed DASA application form. The submitted online registration form should be downloaded and saved for their records.
