The IBPS PO applications were closed on August 28, 2024. The candidates were required to complete the IBPS PO 2024 application form online only on its official website - ibps.in. The candidates should note that the IBPS will not provide the application correction facility to the candidates.The IBPS PO 2024 applications were started on August 1, 2024. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted the IBPS PO 2024 on October 19 & 20, 2024. The IBPS PO prelims 2024 was conducted as a Computer-Based Exam(CBE).  The Institute of Banking Personnel and Selection released the IBPS PO admit card 2024 on October 10, 2024.

The IBPS PO advertisement was released on August 1, 2024. The IBPS notified 3,955 IBPS PO vacancies in the official notification. Candidates were required to pay the application fees online which are INR 850 for General and OBC categories and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWBD candidates.

Step 3: Fill the Detailed Application Form

This page is divided into three parts, basic details, educational qualification & experience, and preferences. Candidates can below the details to be filled in each part:

Basic details: Here, candidates need to fill in the category, nationality, personal details, select exam centres, date of birth, gender, father's name or mother's name, address, etc. 

Educational qualification, work experience & languages: Here, candidates need to enter details of their graduation such as year of passing, college, percentage of marks, and grade (if any). They are also required to enter their work experience. Candidates are also required to enter the languages they can read, write and speak.

Preferences: Candidates need to enter the preferences of banks where they wish to work upon selection. SC/ST/Minority candidates can opt for pre-exam training in this part.

Step 4: Preview of IBPS PO Application Form

Candidates must preview the application form before the final submission. They can edit the details entered in the application form while validating the same. Once this is complete, candidates need to agree to the terms and conditions and submit their applications. 

Step 5: Uploading of Left Thumb Impression and Handwritten Declaration

Candidates need to upload the left thumb impression and handwritten declaration before proceeding towards paying the application fee. The left thumb impression should be in jpg/jpeg format in the dimension between 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI. The file size should be between 20kb and 50kb. The handwritten declaration should be in jpg/jpeg format and the dimension should be in 800x400 piexels in 200 DPI. The file size should be 50 kb to 100 kb.

Step 5: Fee Payment 

  • The application form is integrated with the payment gateway. Candidates need to follow the steps below for making payment
  • The payment can be made by using debit cards, credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards/ mobile wallets by providing information as asked
  • On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt is generated
  • Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form containing fee payment details

How to Edit IBPS PO Application Form?

The window to edit the IBPS PO application form is made available within the application deadline. Candidates can make changes to the details entered in the application form before final submission. No changes in the application form will be entertained after final submission.

Q:   What is IBPS PO Educational Qualification?

IBPS PO educational qualification is a Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a university recognised by the government. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Q:   Will I be provided travelling allowance to go to the exam centre for IBPS PO exam?

A:

Travelling Allowance is not given to candidates in order to reach the IBPS PO exam centre. Candidates should go to the exam centre at their own expense. Candidates should bring ball-point pen, blue ink stamp pad and glue to the exam centre. Sheets of paper are provided which can be used for rough work or taking down the question number you would like to review at the end of the test before submitting your answers. After the test is over candidates must submit these sheets of paper by putting them in the designated drop box before leaving the venue. Candidates must write their registration number and roll no. on the rough sheets.

Q:   What is IBPS PO shift timing?

A:

IBPS PO prelims exam is conducted in four shifts -9 am to 10 am, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, 2 pm to 3 pm, and 4 pm to 5 pm. IBPS PO Mains exam is conducted in two shifts- 9 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 5.30 pm. The shift timings of the prelims and Mains exams are mentioned on the admit card. Candidates need to appear for the exam as per their shift timings. Candidates reporting late to the exam centre will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Q:   What is IBPS PO Educational Qualification?

IBPS PO educational qualification is a Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a university recognised by the government. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Candidates must possess valid marksheet/degree Certificate that they are graduate on the day they register and indicates the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registration online. All educational mentioned by the examination authority should be from a university/institution/board recognised by government. Of India/approved by government/approved by government. Regulatory bodies and the final result should have been declared. Candidates who are in the final year of graduation are not eligible to apply for the exam. The public sector banks offer a good salary to candidates selected through IBPS PO exam. The basic salary is INR 23,700- (980 x 7) -30,560- (1145 x 2)-32850- (1310 x 7)-42,020. IBPS PO inhand salary ranges between INR 52,000 to 55,000 with dearness allowances, special allowances, HRA, and other perks. Candidates selected as PO are promoted to the post of Middle Manager-Middle Management Grade Scale 2, Senior Manager-Middle Management Grade Scale 3, Chief Manager-Senior Management Grade Scale 4, Assistant General, Manager-Senior Management Grade Scale 5, Deputy General Manager, Management Grade Scale 6, General Manager-Top Management Grade Scale 7, Executive Director, Chairman and Managing Director.

Q:   What if the declaration is submitted in capital letters in the IBPS PO application form?

A:

IBPS PO handwritten declaration is a text which candidates need to write in their own handwriting. By uploading handwritten declaration candidates agree to the fact that the details provided in the application form are correct and valid. The hand written declaration has to be in the candidate's hand writing and in English only. If it is written by anybody else and uploaded or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid. The handwritten declaration should not be written in Capital Letters. The steps to upload the handwritten declaration are given below:

  • Click on the respective link to ‘Upload IBPS PO handwritten declaration’
  • Browse and select the location where the scanned photograph has been saved
  • Select the file by clicking on it
  • Click the ‘Open/Upload’
  • If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed
  • Preview of the uploaded image will help to see the quality of the image. In case of unclear / smudged, the same may be re-uploaded to the expected clarity /quality

Yes, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released the IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training Admit Card on October 7. The candidates who opted for the PET can download their admit card and attend the training as per the schedule mentioned in the hall ticket.
