Yes, there is direct admission in RVCE for foreign nationals. Foreign nationals can apply for admission to RVCE through the NRI quota. The NRI quota seats are reserved for Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Foreign Nationals. The seats are also open to students residing in India but have NRI first-degree relatives who can sponsor their education. The eligibility criteria for admission to RVCE through the NRI quota are as follows:
* The student must be a citizen of a foreign country. * The student must have completed their 12th grade from a recognised school. * The student must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics in their 12th grade. * The student must have taken the SAT or ACT standardized test. The application process for admission to RVCE through the NRI quota is as follows:
* The student must submit an application form to RVCE. * The student must submit their 12th grade mark sheet. * The student must submit their SAT or ACT scores. * The student must submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. * The student must submit an application fee. The application deadline for admission to RVCE through the NRI quota is usually in May. The fees for admission to RVCE through the NRI quota are higher than the fees for admission through the merit-based process. The fees for the NRI quota seats are usually around INR 10 Lacs per year. Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) and/or are OCI/PIO card holders will be treated as foreign nationals. Foreign national candidates who have studied or are studying ABROAD at 10+2 level or equivalent at the time of registration for JEE (Advanced) 2022, are not required to write JEE (Main) 2022 and may register for JEE (Advanced) 2022 directly subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria mentioned below. Foreign national candidates who have studied or are studying in INDIA at 10+2 level or equivalent are required to write JEE (Main) 2022 and qualify for JEE (Advanced) 2022 under the OPEN category. All eligibility criteria (1 to 5) also apply to such candidates [see Clause 11. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN NATIONALS FOR APPEARING FOR JEE (ADVANCED) 2022 of the Information Brochure 2022]. All foreign national candidates will be considered in addition to, and not as a part of the 2,50,000 Indian national candidates who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2022. All the seats allotted to the foreign national candidates will be supernumerary with a cap of 10% of a total number of seats in every course. These candidates are outside the ambit of reservation of seats under the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories/sub-categories as specified in the Information Brochure of JEE (Advanced) 2022. There are no separate supernumerary seats or sub-categories for females in the foreign national supernumerary seats.
