GMCH Chandigarh conducts GMCH Combined Entrance Test (GCET) to shortlist applicants for BSc admission. The seats are allocated through the subsequent counselling process based on the GCET ranks of applicants. However, to be eligible for the conuselling rounds, applicants are required to score the minimum qualifying marks in the GCET, which are as follows:General/General PwD category: 45% or moreSC/SC PwD category: 40% or more

GCET is the entrance test conducted by GMCH Chandigarh to shortlist applicants for BSc admission. The exam consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The syllabus for the exam may vary across the specialisations. The medium of GCET is English only. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The duration of the entrance test is two hours. Interested candidates can apply for the exam through the college's official website as and when the application window opens.

The GCET application process is conducted in offline mode. The application forms are available at multiple location and all of them are listed below:Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim.Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna. 3. GCET accepts GUJCET for seat allocation to BTech courses. The GUJCET 2024 Cutoff was released for Round 1, for different categories under the AI and the HS Quota. For the General HS category candidates, the toughest course was BTech in Computer Engineering. The Cutoff for the same closed at 2690. The easiest course for the General HS category candidates was BTech in Civil Engineering, with the closing Cutoff of 38137. For the OBC HS category candidates, the Cutoff ranks ranged between 4629 and 37562. The competition was the highest in BTech in Computer Engineering and the lowest in BTech in Electrical Engineering.

The necessary application cost must be paid by the candidates when completing the GCET/Goa BE admission application form. The application form must be picked up in person at the locations where the fee is due. The authorities will not accept any other payment method. The application fee for GCET/Goa BE admission is INR 1800.

Candidates must pay the requisite amount of INR 1800 when submitting their GCET/Goa BE admissions application form. A GCET application fee must be paid while submitting the form. No other method of payment will be accepted. If candidates fail to pay by the deadline, their applications will be rejected.

Along with the GCET admit card, the candidates will have to present their valid photo identity proof. Any one of the following documents can be produced to the invigilators at the centre - Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, any Govt. approved identity proof. At the exam centre, any one of the above-mentioned original identity proofs has to be presented. Without the admit card and identity proof, the candidates will not be allowed to attempt the exam.

Candidates are advised to check the list of prohibited items before reporting to the GCET exam centre. Electronic items such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, smart watches, calculators, etc., are strictly prohibited in the exam centre. If the candidates are discovered with the prohibited items inside the centre, then they will be disqualified from the exam. There will be no provision to submit the items at the centre, therefore the candidates are advised to leave the items at home or with their guardians.
