History
Deggendorf Institute of Technology was established in 1991 by the Bavarian Council of Ministers. Around 1994 the university was regarded with the title of “Fachhochoschule Deggendorf – Hochschule Fur Technik und Wirtschaft”. In 1997 the university laid down the foundation of a new campus at the university and opened its Innovation and Technology Campus Deggendorf in 2001. Around 2002, the university established its Further Education Center and had an enrollment of over 2,146 students in 2003.
