According to the HPU MAT 2025 exam pattern, there will be no negative marking in the exam. Himachal Pradesh University offeres MBA programme through HPU MAT scores. Admission to MBA programme is determined through a competitive process that includes application evaluations, the Management Aptitude Test (objective format with multiple-choice questions), group discussion, and a personal interview. The Management Aptitude Test (HPU MAT) consists of objective-type questions in a multiple-choice format (MCQ).

HPU MAT exam is conducted for admission to full time two year MBA programe of Himacha Pradesh Business School. Candidates will have to appear for the HPU MAT selection process consisting of the following stages:Stage 1- Fill the HPU MAT application formStage 2- Appear for the HPU MAT entrance exam Stage 3- Shortlisting of candidates on basis of score in HPU MAT Stage 4- Appear for Group Discussion/Personal Interview

Himachal Pradesh University conductes HPU MAT selection rounds in offline mode. Shortlisted candidates from subsidised and non-subsidised categories have to appear for the selection rounds at given date and time. Candidates must report at the alloted centre to appear for GD and personal interview. Candidates failing to appear for the selection rounds will be disqualified.

HPU MAT is the entrance exam required for admission to HPU Business School, Himachal Pradesh University MBA programme.  HPU MAT is a computer-based test of two hours' duration with 200 questions. It is conducted once in a year. The syllabus of the entrance exam is similar to most management entrance test syllabuses, which include topics such as verbal ability, reading comprehension, quantitative ability, data adequacy, and data interpretation.

HPU MAT 2025 results will be announced in third week of June.
