To be eligible for the IBPS CLerk exam, the candidate must have a bachelor's degreenin any disciplne from a recognised university. the candidates age must be between 20 to 28 and  the must a indian citizenand the candidate must have a basic knowledge on computer.

In 2022-23, a total of 87.60 Lacs candidates had registered for various IBPS exams.Out of these many candidates, total 6.59 Lacs candidates had registered for the exam. A total pf 4.91 Lacs candidates had appeared for the exam. The number of registered and appeared candidates were less compared to last year. The prelims exam for IBPS Clerk  (Customer Service Associates) will be conducted on December 6, 7, 13 and 14, 2025. The Mains exam for this post will be conducted on February 1, 2026. The examination authority has renamed the post of Clerks to Customer Service Associates.

 The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the notification for the IBPS Clerk 2024 examination on July 1, 2024.  The application process commenced on the same day and concluded on July 28, 2024. The preliminary examinations were conducted on August 24, 25, and 31, 2024, followed by the Mains examination on October 13, 2024. As of now, the IBPS Clerk 2025 notification is anticipated to be released in July 2025, following the previous year's schedule.
